Well my main form of stagging is ussually force fusing. But you cant rly force fuse ribbon. And I've tried to loop with 40 before but the edge on the ribbon always breaks the loop (even with lube). SO I went ahead and just parafused.

What's your wattage at? Is it 5 wraps? Could do 6 wraps or turn the power down a notch or three
Yeah i know they just do that always not as hard at low wattage but it's not grate vape with low wattage. Aliens supposed to be vaped at 80-140w range for most part. I'm just not satisfied with aliens never been and it's seems like i'm the only one and it's driving me crazy
5 wrap aliens are most popular ones to i just don't get it... Even tried multiple ID's 2.5 up to 3.5. They sound like super angry cat and spit a lot to

They are honestly IMO the best vaping coil I've tried except a Fralien. But my mechs don't like Fraliens mostly.

All SS316l, 3.5 wraps 3.8mm id, 0.14 ohms.

what are the specs? hows it vape? i have a similar build in my deathtrap, but its always felt like its a bit small at 4mm. been meaning to try something else in that...for months

Two 4x28/36 aliens, 2.5 wraps around an 8mm screwdriver. About .13 ohms I think. I was vaping at about 150 watts, 200w burned my lip lol. It’s an okay vape but takes forever too cool down. It revs up slow and then just keeps hissing after you let go of the fire.

Don't take my word for it as I've never done one but I believe it's either a 3 or 4 core alien that's had the middle core(s) removed. That's how it looks anywaylovely

I did a Framed Staple Alien and removed the ribbon cores. Then stamp the indent.

i have been experimenting with 30mm atomizers on single battery mechs a lot this year. the ijoy 26650 is the way to go (or it was the last time i looked). the challenge (imo) is efficiency. most of my 30mm atomizers are tanks that work best with larger builds, and i like to try to balance it out so i can get at least one tank-full of juice out of one battery charge cycle.
my 'the tank'/chi you megan combo has 3x27 n80 aliens in it, at 5.5 3.5mm wraps its .15 ohms and it can do a 5ml tank on one battery. ramp up is not as instant as a smaller set of coils at the same resistance, but its a nice mellow vape in 'the tank' and i really like it.
i just posted an alien framed staple build a couple days ago on the aromamizer plus for 21700 tube and it sucked. ramp up was so slow that it killed efficiency and it took almost two batteries to finish 5ml tank. i replaced it with a framed multistrand alien with 2x28 n80/13 x 42 ss316/40 n80 at 4.5 4mm wraps it comes to almost .2 ohms. it can do a whole tank on one charge, ramps up quite a bit faster than the last build, but still a tiny bit slow/cool for me. they are good, but not great.. im gonna try it with maybe 20 x 42 ss316 next time, or maybe with 27 n80 frames. either change should bring it down to closer to .15 without adding a ton of mass. hopefully the extra few watts makes them light up better and doesnt kill efficiency.

a fair bit to think about but I think I will try out the ijoy batteries to start with and try either finer gauge core wires or more of them, or even a mix of metals to see if that helps. Haven't been an avid user of mechs really so this is still kind of new ground for me, trying to find a build to hit a wattage range for a particular atomiser so your vape experience is satisfying. another thing to consider is that most of the 26650 stuff is 'old', and often not as efficient as current stuff. i have a notorious 26650 clone with such bad v drop (right out of the box, brand new), that i thought my build sucked, my batteries were getting old etc. i started testing the build on other mods, and other atomizers on the notorious, and i found that the build and battery were fine, and that nothing worked well on the notorious. i dunno if its the design (the switch/contacts/threading/ 510 etc) showing its age compared to more modern hardware, or if its just a really bad clone, but its virtually useless as a result.Thanks for the insight there @mach1nea fair bit to think about but I think I will try out the ijoy batteries to start with and try either finer gauge core wires or more of them, or even a mix of metals to see if that helps. i have a cartel clone too, but i have barely tried it out. i got it around the same time i got two of my 26650 'unicorn' mods and it got benched as a result. i should give it a try with 'the tank' and see how it feels compared to the chi you.
edit --- 'the tank' on the cartel boss clone feels fine. dunno if we have the same clone, but with some luck yours is gonna be fine too

For those that want to try hybrids start off with something easy to get a grasp on whats going on.
Make a 3 core alien length but then remove (2) 1 inch sections about 6 inches away from each other, then clapton the bare wire. Clip off the ends of the wrap (alien and clapton) on the same side, this will be the "bittom" of the wire - inside of the coil.
It should look something like this afterwards:
On a 3mm Bit,1" is 2 Wraps, each wrap is .5". Its a great way to still use failed builds as long as you have 1" clean somewhere on your wire.
Ideas to try:
