Much has been said about Tommy Oliver (or Dr. Tommy Oliver from Power Rangers: Dino Thunder and beyond). Played by Jason David Frank, he’s the Wolverine of the Power Rangers: the best there is at what he does. Tommy’s been the backbone of the epic saga since his debut in “Green with Evil” way back in 1993, and his legacy lives on to this day. He’s a legend within the Power Rangers Universe and a legend to fans outside of it - the most enduring character of the show’s long history no matter what color he’s sporting.
To celebrate the legacy of Tommy Oliver, we’re taking a look at his best moments from Mighty Morphin all the way to Super Megaforce.
Tommy is infamously introduced as an evil Ranger under the spell of intergalactic sorceress supreme Rita Repulsa, acting as a thorn in Zordon’s side for the better part of five episodes. In the first of a long string of badass moments, Tommy (with the help of the Rangers, of course) would overcome Rita’s evil spell and cross over to the good side, cementing his place at the forefront of Power Rangers lore.
