hey guys thank you for checking out my thread because I need help. So I have the kangertech subox mini And I love it a lot. I recently bought a pack of new .5 coils for it. When I put the new one in I let it sit to soak in the juice. Well after maybe a few hits I realized It was really killing my throat like there was no juice but it was full and I dropped some on the wick as well. So I looked at my watts and it was at 25 but the ohms was like jumping around. It's a .5 ohm coil but it was reading .9 then 1.5 then .7 and so on. I made sure it was screwed in tight and it was. It's a brand new coil and I've tried other new coils and it's doing the same. Is something wrong with it or what should I do about this? Thanks for the help guys

If you've tried multiple coils and are sure they're screwed in properly, there is a connection problem likely with your 510 pin on your mod. I'd try another tank to rule that out, and go from there. It shouldn't jump like that. If you got it at a shop, take it in and have them help. If online, you might want to go to a shop first to see if they can troubleshoot, but I'd contact the vendor since you might need to do an exchange.

Try re securing those coils, and if possible another tank. You'll find out which one is the culprit, and should be able to exchange it. Again, it's a connection problem somewhere, likely between the 510. You should try cleaning the 510 on the device and the tank with a small amount of rubbing alcohol, too. Could help.

I tried taking the tank off and putting it on another mod and the same thing still happened. I bought this back in June and the place I got it from closed. which is extremely inconvenient but I cleaned the 510 connection and made sure the coil was on tight and it just wasn't cooperating. The ohms were still jumping all around and I'm tired of it because I keep burning my throat with each hit and it's annoying but I don't know what to do.

Well, the tank is likely cheaper than a mod, and it sounds like it's definitely the tank. It might be fixable, might not. I'd go to a good shop if you have one, see if they can troubleshoot it, if not, there are tons of options for tanks that are good and reasonably priced. I hope you can fix your current one, but at least it sounds like your device is ok. Good luck.

Have you checked/cleaned the inside of the tank's bottom, before screwing the replacement coil in? There might be some juice/condensation causing a bad contact.

Agree on the connection problem. Do ensure that post screws are tight. Do not overtighten though. Another thing to check whether the rba deck and airflow base are screwed on tight. Also do not overtighten the 510. Just make sure that everything is hand tight and nit overtightened. Im assuming u are using the subtank mini.

So I figured it out I believe. So the subox comes with the sub tank mini in black. That is the one that is screwed up. Luckily I had another sub tank that I purchased before so I took the bottom piece off of that and put the coil on that and connected it to my mod. It worked perfectly so I figured it was the bottom piece of the other one so I tried cleaning it to the best of my ability and it stuck didn't work correctly but I'll take it somewhere soon and see what they told me. But thank you to everyone who offered some help its greatly appreciated
