How does a new member send a private message to another member ?

Click on the envelope on the upper right hand corner of the screen and then select the people you want to send it to.

There's no minimum post to send pm's, are you seeing the conversation icon?

Here's another way. Click on the name of the member you want to send a message to. Then click start a conversation. Give it a title, type in your message and send it. Then when you get a reply you will see a number by the little message envelope depending on how many replies you have. Hope that helps
