Microsoft's Xbox upgrade, currently code named Project Scorpio, will run all games made for it by Microsoft Studios at a native 4K resolution.
In an interview with USA Today, Microsoft Studios' publishing general manager Shannon Loftis said, "any games we're making that we're launching in the Scorpio time frame, we're making sure they can natively render at 4K."
Loftis is referring only to games released by Microsoft Studios - it's unclear what third-party developers' decisions will be.
