Pure SS Coils - To Pulse or Not to Pulse? That is the Question.

Hi guys, I'm doing some due dilligence on pure SS coils. I usually only use SS for wrap wire when I'm doing my fused claptons, but now I'm wanting to get into vaping pure SS staples. Now I've tried vaping Nickel coils briefly, and I've read on a few websites that you shouldn't pulse Nickel coils. I was wondering if it was the same for SS as well. Also, are there any other safety tips to keep in mind? For example, I know Nickel wire goes *really* low on the resistance (part of the reason why I sold my Nickel wire and went with my usual Kanthal/SS mix - vaping at .08Ω is well outside my "comfort zone") and I've heard there's a risk of contaminating your ejuice with toxins if you don't vape Nickel in TC mode. Is it the same with SS?

I did like you mentioned awhile back with playing around with using SS316L in certain builds with Nichrome 80...using N80 cores with SS316L wrap, using SS316L cores with N80 wrap and also pure SS316L builds. Obviously, there’s no way to know of any long term issues as that would require a good length of time to pass before knowing for sure, but short term, I had no issues with using pure SS builds except for the fact of the coils turning deep red/copper after not much use...even posted a thread here months (or maybe a year) ago and though others had mentioned it occurring, never was able to pinpoint exactly what was going on...here’s an example of what my pure SS316L builds were doing...they would start out like this:

And at the end of one day of vaping, look like this:

Aside from that, there were no flavor or cloud production issues or any negative health problems to report from my experience with it at all.

Edit: It should be noted that I switched up every variable possible to pinpoint if it was an issue not necessarily related directly to use SS316L. Different coils and different coil styles, in different atty’s with different juices with different cotton wicking brands, on different mods at varying temperature levels...all of them turned red where N80 builds using the same factors, did not change color.

Yeah, it was the response I came up with for an older guy I worked with that tried to give me a hard time about vaping, saying I was smoking ingredients in antifreeze...finally just pissed me off and pulled that line out as I was pointing to his bottle of water.
Found out he was just a big conspiracy theorist, though, and meant no harm...hard to stay mad at a guy that genuinely believes the only reason lead paint can no longer be used is because it was interfering with the governments ability to use X-ray technology to look into peoples houses, so, they lied and falsified evidence to make it appear that lead paint was toxic when it’s really perfectly safe.
