Question about Capella flavoring taste to me

So I love FA and TFA but seems when I vape CAP at anything more than 2% I get a musty, vomit like flavor. Is this butyric acid? Or is this what acetoin and AP tastes like? I am talking about CAP Vanilla Cupcake V1, Vanilla Custard V2 and Sugar Cookie.

Thanks

I am trying to narrow this down. I also have CAP Sweet Strawberry, which I really do not like. The smallest amount seems to mess up everything.

Capella lists there A/P status here: http://www.capellaflavors.com/a-p-status/

The V2 versions are AP free, don't know about BA though.

Vanilla Custard V2 like most custards generally need a decent amount of time to steep. I have vanilla cupcake and sugar cookie V2 versions but have yet to try them.

Once you get that flavor profile in your mind though it is hard to shake. I got rid of FA Joy because anything I put it in I just got a flat beer taste although others taste something different.

@mjag You are right. When I use them that is all I think about. One of the only things I have found I really like and had one of these is Rhodonite by diyordie.

I won't try joy due to what others say.

Most of the CAP flavors need to steep for a week.
I don't really care for the CAP Vanilla Cupcake that much, and the TFA Vanilla Cupcake isn't much different IMO.
CAP Sugar Cookie v2 just plain suks.
CAP VC-v2 only works in a couple recipes I've tried, but I still prefer the v1.
And CAP Sugar Cookie v1 I use quite a bit and think it's one of their better flavors.
Don't like the Strawberries either, but that's just me.

If it's a v2 flavor it probably has had the Diacetyl replaced with BA...
AP tastes a bit nutty if used correctly, otherwise it's "Fritos".

I am pretty sure FA uses some BA as well. There are some FA flavors I can't use anymore, it is not because of taste or smell but because of throat irritation. BA is an irritant so I am guessing that may be it, don't know for sure but know that once I replaced FA Caramel and one other FA flavor in a mix that the cotton mouth and sore throat went away.

Maybe it is not that though, I know TFA DX Caramel uses BA, it is listed on there website. I have used it in a couple of mixes and have never noticed any problems. There new Caramel uses Triacetin instead of BA and it is better tasting, just not as strong.

Well I guess cap is just not for me in high doses. I use fa caramel at 4% in one recipe with no issues so BA must nor be the issue. Thanks for the info that.
