Hi there everyone, new vaper here, looking for some help.

I'm interested in getting a RBA mechanical mod for the 1st time.
I watch vid and guide about handling battery and mod and become unsure a bit about heat/vent.

I want a mod for large battery(long vaping time and look nice)
With a tank(large tank for juice, less refill, and look nice)
Of course I want lots of cloud as well, HOWEVER, I'm not a cloud chaser.

I don't want to mess with the ohm, watt, etc. Or build coil.
If I use factory atomizer with 0.8, 1.5, or 1.8 ohm resister, there shouldn't fear battery venting or heating right?

Also thinking of adding a evolv kick control limit the watt or shortstop to prevent shortage.

In other word, if I do just what listed above, what do you think are the chances of my mod would go crazy?

Battery venting can happen if there is a short or if the battery you use can supply the amps needed for the given coil. For example if you are using say a factory Kanger .8 Ohm coil it will draw 5.25 amps from a fully charged 18650, which is no issue at all for any IMR I've tried. I would suggest though, even using factory coils you can get shorts - so investing in a "resettable" 7A fuse would be a good safety measure. http://www.thevapesafe.com/

With a kick, your mod will not go crazy if you are not building your coils and get a good battery. For the tank, I would recommend the atlantis. For me it is the best cleario out so far. For the mod, if you want the tube you could try the aspire subohm battery but those are new and I have not seen any reviews or specs. I just heard it does ok with the atlantis. I prefer box mods, but that is just me. Regardless, if you are considering a kick then I would just go with a regulated mod that can push at least 30 watts.

I got the kanger mega tank and the ego twist, just order several different coil to test my liking........I'm quite sure I can built a very low risk modded rba or rda system....the only problem is I don't want a "very low risk" looking for something with 1% or less risk :)

Build over 1 ohm resistance, get a good battery, and make sure you use the locking ring or get a magnetic button. The risk is negligible.

To clarify, if you have a good mech with less than .1 voltage drop, you could build down to .53 ohms and still only have 8 amps reaching the battery. So any battery that can handle 8 amps continuous would be fine on .53 or above.

As far as safety goes, you are looking at amps in the ohms law calculator. You can use http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php. Just keep in mind, a fully charged battery puts out 4.2 volts. A mech will have some amount of voltage drop but to be on the safe side pretend it doesn't. So you enter the 4.2 volts, and the amps your battery can safely handle, it will tell you the lowest resistance you can build and how many watts it will give you.

Here is a chart of battery limits. http://www.utahvapers.com/resources/SubOhmChart.pdf

Hi a few more question, please help out(too many "super long guide" out there, the more I read, the more confuse I get :D

I'm about to get a Samsung INR18650-25R 2500 mAh Battery(25amp Continuous Discharge) Fresh Discharge: 4.2V

I have Kanger Tank Mega and the lowest factory made coil is 0.8ohm
Thus base on the ohm calculator, It is putting out 5.25 amp.

Question 1: Say I built a custom coil, it can go as far as 0.2ohm and be on the safe side right? cuz the max amp the battery can handle is 25 amp?

Question 2: If I use a box mod or a kick(to control volt output), say for the kick max set output is 6.3V......If I set it to 6.3V, I can use with a coil as low as 0.3ohm, cuz the amp would be 21, right?

Question 3: Is the Power(P) on the ohm calculator relevant?

Question 4: When I use my ego twist with aero mega tank, there are loud popping sound, like it's burning the juice, is this normal?
----------------Wonder if it would ever burn the juice inside the tank and explode.

Question 5: Is it dangerous to fire the mod for 4-5 second before actually inhaling?
----------------Are you suppose to inhale as soon as you fire up the mod?

Thanks for guiding me, I'm new and trying to stay as safest as possible

1: Yes, it should be safe. With that said, it's still always best to be careful when building that low.

2: Yes. Again, if you build that low though, you should try to know what is going on with your battery and be safe.

3: That determines how hot your coil will get. Depending on the tank you are using, if you have to many watts it will burn out clearos. With RDAs and RBAs, just learn what they like by experimenting.

4: Yes that is normal. No, the only thing in your tank/mod that can explode is the battery.

5: No, but it can lead to harsh hits. What you can do is exhale into it for a second or two until you see vape then inhale.

When in doubt, play it safe.
