Question for anyone that has a black Tobeco Hurricane clone

If anyone has a black hurricane Tobeco clone, is the tank painted, or is it that PVD (or whatever its called) coating? I bought a 316 stainless one from fasttech, was comtemplating getting a black & white one also, but when I read the reviews almost everyone said the paint began flecking off almost immediately.

I carry multiple vape setups around with me with different juice flavors in each, and having 2 different colored tanks makes it easy to tell which one is which

Do you mean the tank glass is black or the housing? I ask because I bought a tank from them, the glass was colored and when I went to wash it, the color washed off, too. Didn't know it was painted or whatever..

It seems they used just paint, where as PVD coating is harder and wear resistant. I have a couple non-Tobeco KFV4 clones that have PVD coating, and there are no signs of wear whatsoever.

Tobacco's black coating is not a paint. It's like a rubberized finished. You can clearly see 2 different materials when looking at the bottom of the cap up.
