RDA not firing

hi guys
So I have a question. I am fairly new to the RDA world. I have a Manhattan mod clone with a dark horse RDA. But I can't get it to fire. A friend of mine set it up for me and it was working great at first. Then I went on a camping trip with some friends and this happened: I had the vape in the front pocket on my backpack strap. My arms were crossed and suddenly I felt the vape burning my arm through the fabric. I had been holding the button in without realizing. It wouldn't fire after that, even after switching batteries. I assumed the coils just needed replacing so I rebuilt it last night. My friend included extra coils and all the fixings needed to rebuild the mod as well as walking me through how to do it. I replaced the coils and cotton, made sure the screws were nice and tights, and made sure everything else was in place the way it should be. Even used a new, fully charged battery. And it STILL won't fire. Is there another reason it wouldn't work? All the copper pens are in their correct places. I did not replace those but I didn't think they needed to be since it's a fairly new mod. And I'll admit I'm not super knowledgable on these just yet so is
There anything else that could have shorted out on me that I'm unaware of? I may just need to replace the atomizer altogether. If that would even help. Thanks!

Put the atty on a ohm meter if it reads good..if no, you melted the insulator.
Tear it apart and look for melted PET and scorch marks.

Like @BigNasty said, check it with an Ohm meter. If it works, it could be the copper pin being too deep in the mod's 510 connection. Push it further out before attaching the DH, and let the DH's connection push it back into the mod, when screwing it back in. That guarantees, it will have the proper contact (at least at the top).
