I have been using it in all my attys. The cost was not really a factor if the flavor was better, and it is! No comparison, waiting for silica to breakin. I don't use cotton so can not compare.
I am using the same wick on my RM2 for 6 weeks. No signs of it going bad in the near future. I suspect the 1/2"-3/4" length will last for sometime yet! I switched out some on another A7 atty after about 4 weeks. I have found torching it too much can make it mushy and it seems to break down faster. Thats my experience!
I have been washing it with really hot tap water and pat it dry with a paper towel, change flavors and good to go. After you vape for a few hits the excess water drys off and the juice wicks through. It seems to last longer for me that way.
I have gone through more wick by it being wasted on trail and error builds, rather than it going bad. and that was to be expected.
@VapedCrusader - it can be used in any type of atty just like silica or ekowool only no side tatse or breakin taste. It does wick better after breakin like any other material.
It is not the best for making very sharp bends in your wick, but I have had no problems with regular RDA dripping attys. I originally started using it in an atomic and use a rectangular type micro coil with 2 strands of the 2mm wick. I just seem to like that set up best.
The key is not to wrap it tight. Best to make the coil oversize and thread the wick in with lots of room to move around. I had wasted some by just wrapping the wire right over the wick with a 1/16 drill bit inside the core. It still breaks the fibers off from the wire being wrapped around.
Flavor is unmatched in my opinion and I could never go back to anything else.
i hope this helps you!
