recipes pg/vg question

I've noticed most of the recipes don't give a PG/VG percent to use. I was wondering where to start with most of them? Also when numbers are mentioned like 60/40 is that pg/vg or vg/pg , is there a common one always mentioned first? I vape at 9 watts with a Aspire Nautilus with a 1.8 ohm coil. Thanks hope someone can clear this up for me.

PG/VG is not always listed because it can be an individual mixer preference. Choose your own ratio type of deal. That said, some recipes may benefit(be better) by using the recipe developers ratio if given. It's just not that important in most cases and most people just use the percentage ratio that suits them best for all mixes. I use 50/50 for all mixes and vape exclusively with the nautilus tanks but everybody is different.

Hope that helps.

Everything I saw while discovering the world of vaping said PG was listed first and then the VG. As far as recipes go, I don't think it matters much. You might get a naturally sweeter vape with higher VG.

I tend to buy my nic in 100mg PG and then cut it with 100% VG to get it down around 12-14mg. Then I just mix that with whatever flavoring percentage the recipe calls for. It's not super scientific but it works for me. Ratios hurt my head :)

I've always heard nic lasts longer in PG, but I dunno about that. Higher VG gives thicker vapor but mutes the flavor some. I've always used high VG just because PG can irritate some people's airways and I didn't want to have to deal with that. Also Alien Vision's juice was mostly all 100% VG and that's what got me vaping to begin with.
