Recommended disposables?

Hi everyone. I ordered a vape (Voopoo Drag X Professional) that's on back order from Hong Kong to replace my problematic Uwell mod and I think I might need to go with disposables in the meantime until it gets here. I don't know anything about disposables. Can anyone make recommendations? Thanks.

First off- Hi and welcome to the forum.
2nd- I wouldn't suggest any disposables I have never used any of them, I would buy another mod system or pod mod that I would be able to vape until my new mod gets to me and use later as a back up.
What do you vape when you break your only mod?
I just think the money is better spent on another mod or pod mod instead of disposables.
If you live close to a vape shop you may want to stop in one and have a look around to see what better options there are.

Second @SnapDragon NY 's opinion & advice. For the value any more disposables are not worth what one pays. Sure they're simply disposable, meant to be tossed.

We "get that" still they are not worth what is paid. I've seen some disposables running $8-12 USD. Why do that when you can get a fairly decent little "starter" kit for $20-30?

A little side kit can be used again if for example another mod goes on the fritz. Always good to have backups and better having backups of backups. Yeah, another mod, or pod mod sounds like the better idea.

It is always good to have backup mods. Many of us have at least 4 mods, just in case problems come up. Why put all your eggs in one basket? Forget about the disposables. Invest in something that you like, and that will last a good while.

Hehe. Got at least eight here & think I'm one of the most moderate people on the board. :) Six of them are mechanical.
6 of mine are squonkers. I about another 5 or 6 that ain't. One squonker is semi-mech, being there is a chip set in it, but no buttons for making adjustments.

A year ago, I only had like maybe 2 or 4 mods. I guess being stuck at home because of the pandemic provided me with more opportunity to find deals I wasn't going to find while driving around.

7 of mine are squonkers, only two of those are regulated devices. Ooops sorry, I got another regulated squonker recently. That makes 3 regulated out of 9, maybe 10 mods. Think I still got an old Reo Grand clone stuffed away somewhere. *chuckles* Got one tube mod, a Vindicator clone. I just don't care much for regulated devices. They "brick" too easily on me, even semi-mech ones.

I don't know what you put them through. I have not yet had any brick out on me yet. My mother is still using the very first mod I bought, over 6 years ago. That is an Innokin with a built in battery, box mod.

Lol. Back ups n back ups 4 the back ups. And back ups x10 for all of them. I honestly stopped counting around 50 mods in. Lmao

Yeah that says it all right there. Innokin is built for quality, durability. I had an MVP 3 box for about 5 years before it finally quit functioning as a mod. My wife got another two years out of it as a battery box. Smok used to do quality like that, then, ...

I really don't put regulated mods through much. I just find that the chips in them usually short out, foul up in some way. Not sure why, how but then I'm not an electrician, or electrical engineer. Don't want to spend time on it either, not when the device is supposed to just work.

Where as if there's an issue with a mechanical. I can take a few minutes and suess out one of maybe three, or four reasons. Then, fix it in just a few minutes if I got what's needed. There's not much to go wrong on mechanical mods.

Was just sitting here using a mech. It stopped making vapor. "Ah, bet the battery is discharged," I thought. Checked and sure enough that was the issue. Swapped in a fully charged battery, put the discharged cell on to charge. Easy peasy, greasy & sleazy.

First off I'm far from an expert (when it comes to using multiple vapes) so if I'm not allowed to post here just remove the post.
One thing I will say however is that disposables aren't exactly always disposable. They're going to be super low wattage and poorly built but if you have a press drill (or a hand drill, steady hands and a small clamp) and anything able to charge a lithium ion cell (RC balance charger, bench top power supply, 4 AAA NiMH cells in a pack; in order of safe to sketchy AF) your disposable will likely pop open very easily as I bought one a while back because they were pretty much being given away and on opening I found that it separated at the base by accidentally dropping it on a desk and it contained a small lithium iron phosphate cell (safer than lithium ion as they aren't as prone to massive amounts of fire is abused) and an e-liquid (e juice) capsule. The battery ran dry before the juice was used so I charged that up (very carefully using a bench power supply taking it off as the current began to drop off) and got twice as much out of it.
Then I drilled the side of the tank which basically created a refillable pod that you could fill with a syringe and blunt needle (used for flux in soldering) and what would have lasted a day worked fine for over a week until I bought a more powerful pen.
So disposable isn't always disposable.

I would suggest against it however due to the really low power of the thing. The capsule for liquid held maybe 2ml of it and the battery died after 1ml and you got next to no vapour.

Here we have chain stores such as poundland and B&M. Poundland vapes are generally pretty bad but the B&M ones can be quite good and cheap too.
I would recommend checking your local "cheapish goods store" for a refillable tank vape or even a pod vape that can tide you over as disposables are really wasteful unless you feel confident enough to recharge the cell; which if done incorrectly may lead to fire and drill and refill the pod: which really works best with a drill press as you have about 1mm (about "forty thou") of space that you can overshoot without breaking the thing.
