i just got one. i gave it a lookover, then screwed the cap back on, and not tight. but the F'n cap will not come off now

any idea's ?

It has a little notch and tab type thing between the cap and the base. You line them up, push it down and twist. It sounds like you forced it on without those being lined up. I'm not sure what to do. There's not much to grip there

Bro, i'm an idiot. it doesn't thread on/off, even though i unthreaded it off and then back on, if that makes any sense.
just pull off and push on.

now, if you will excuse me, i need to find out why my square peg will not go in the round hole.
