Beautiful! Be sure to clear coat it if you want the color to stay :)
Still pondering the patina thing. If I would have bought one new off reomods.com this was exactly what I would have ordered, just maybe the mini version. I don't think I could be more stoked!

Oh then whomever you bought it from has probably already done the clear coat? I hear they turn dark very quickly!
That is a very good point! Was only couple months old but my copper tubes patina really fast. I'll have to ask 'bout that.

JUST ordered my first REO and can't wait. Perfect companion for my beloved Nicoticket.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Just bought my first reo LP grande. Black wrinkle brass door and an odin BF atty. They should both be here this coming week :)
Now to sale my dual 18650 RG box mod to help pay for it....LOL
Careful, they tend to multiply like rabbits... and congrats on an awesome vape device!

Ask ye shall receive; more upgrades coming

Bottom%20Feeder.jpg

howdy all. i've been lurking here and this post caught my attention. when you say 'upgrades coming' - do you mean by reosmods or your own modding? the reason i ask is cuz i am debating another reo, but will hold off if these are going to be offered on the site any time soon.

Haven't really been following Reoville that closely but there were talks of a new feed set up in the works. Not sure if it's 100% necessary.

Really? I don't remembering seeing that over on the Reo thread at ECF - did I miss something?

More up grades from Fatdaddy;s to fit these into bottom feeders. i plan on putting one in my mini.

I have no Idea, or do i care what Reomods has in mind to be blunt!

;)I am a Reo fan!.....................!

EDIT;
Correction; I am not a fan of The well size. The whole propietary modified RDA's to fit the thing and the low profile vs non low profile

To anyone buying a new REO pay attention to the Letters LP.

They mean low profile. And if you do not have a low profile mod you must buy a RDA that fits into said well

Woah....sorry, I thought we were all Reo fans here and just wondered what I might have missed that Rob was coming out with!

I sure turned into a BIG fan about an hour ago when i got home to find the copper vein in the mailbox! Beautiful, works great, and must have some seriously low voltage drop because it's hitting like a beast on 0.6 ohm setup.

Lovely! I'm torn about which one to get next, and that's one of the ones I'm considering. That or sparkly purple.....LOL (No, not really - I don't think!!)

Nice, must have the upgraded contacts installed. Seriously reduced the VD which was one of the original "flaws" with the Reo.

Yes, I can see how it would get addicting to keep buying more. This grand is actually smaller than I was thinking it would be, and now I'd REALLY like to try a mini as soon as I can save up some vape funds again!

The minis are awesome - nice and discrete, and I tend to use those if I'm going to be around people who don't vape, rather than the grand, which is my favorite. Only thing about the minis is the small juice bottle - not good for chain vaping! But spare bottles are easy to carry around.

The only reason really I want another Reo is because none of mine are LP! So I need one LOL

It does! TBH, all the reading I did a good while back scared me away a bit. That, and a lack of atomizer choices. There are all kinds of great choices now.

I use my mini as my all day device. I have the VV Grand set up to for another flavor but don't use it that often. Worst ergonomic thing I ever held.

But the mini is the perfect size, for me anyways.

My all day vape is the standard grand with a cyclone. I have a mini but the small bottle keeps it at home or for short trips out. My LP is for relaxing in the evening and blowing huge clouds. My woodvill is for a special treat, it's the one with the real Boba's Bounty. @ Cessnapix, if you want to get rid of the VV Grand they are in pretty high demand, recently someone traded one for a Woodvil.

@Walter Ego - The problem is that it is a VV grand housing modified for a mech. I Bought it as a special build to hold a kick with an 18650 battery. I use the crown instead of a kick.
Anyways I am not sure where it is not a true vv grand, just the case is. So it has an extra hole on the side where the switch would go and then a drilled hole in the top for the mech switch button. It cost me more than anything he normally offers. I don't like the size of it at all. It's not for me!

Maybe if I converted it back to some kind of a hybrid with a switch on the side it would be more ergomonic? There is a picture of it on ECF under the thread; No variable voltage anymore? Only the one I have has an aluminum spacer, that I don't use, and no cap on the side hole.

I am not sure if it would be worth more where it is not a true vv grand, however it is a vw with the crown......LOL

I use the square bottles and with 4ml in the mini it last me more than a day. I have been at 24mg for about 20 months and if i drop I vape more. I find myself vaping less right now so the mini is the perfect size for me! I actually like the size a lot, and fits my needs perfect except for my usual complaint.

Well size and the price!

Had the new Grand all set and puffing big clouds last night, then it totally stopped vaping. Battery was fresh so knew that wasn't it. Turns out it was this &@%$# Zenith V2.5 bf Atty lost connection! Got the two Zeniths in a preorder a while back and they were fine on my mechs (with non-bf pins) but doesn't want to thread on very well to the REO. There were complaints I recall about threading onto some devices including REOs but figured mine would be okay since they threaded fine on all my 10 or so MODs. Turns out threading not so good so that sux. Ordered a IGO w bf from Rob since I already have some nice Halo caps for when it get here.

Gonna have to get the Zeniths re-threaded, and I have an ehpro atomic that's begging to get drilled for bf.

Contact Chowderhead1972 on ECF, he has a thread in the modder/supplier section Catfish Atty Mods. He does great work, I got a Reactor from him and I have a Plumeveil on the way. I'm sure he can get you fixed up.

I wish i had a place for a mini lathe....maybe time to move out the dinning room table...lol

I never eat at the table anyhow.........Some how an apartment may not be the best place though! I am always in need of a small lathe for something.

They have some with mill attatchments, cnc also....Everyone needs one just to play with:)

Modifying these triangle atty's....But so far a pin vice to start the Drill, and a dremel & cordless drill lathe.......and a file as a tool bit, is working fine at putting a few of these together.

I have grown really frugal, or down right cheap latley.

@Walter Ego - thanks, I need to book mark this page for that contact with chowderhead1972!

@havok333 - I picked up a 7mm die the other day at mcmaster carr. They are scarce in the states but they did have a couple at mcmaster, or it may have been MSCdirect.com....I was getting tired of threads not fitting right also. It is nice to have the stuff in hand when you need it!

I think I'm gonna give the die a try. That was discussed heavily on the preorder thread.

Just a heads up! Try to get one off the places I recommended, if you can! The 1st one I bought was a square thread chasing nut off amazon, did not work. Back years ago they use to work ok for chasing already cut threads, but times have changed.

It pays to get a decent quality round die, with a die handle. You need to be carefull on amazon but they may have some that are ok.

Just so you know they come in different size diameters. So make sure the die, and handle both fit. It should be 1" for this size die. It may cost you a good $30 for the set but you will have it for a very long time. If you buy junk it may not work the 1st time. It is hard to justify an expensive die for this purpose. Interstate tool makes a low cost and is made in china I believe, but is decent quality.

There is a wide range of tool steel quality coming out of China!

Lovely! You can get an RM2 directly from Rob - awesome flavor and vapor. Or an RM3, but I only have experience with the RM2.

You can also use that A7 very nicely by drilling a 1/16 side hole and about 1.5mm above where the top and bottom join. Make your coils onto one side of the post The whole center unscrews so you can turn the post so the hole line up straight to the side.

tGFpsXN.jpg

The other thing i do is I put some tygon tubing around the center post as an insulator. 3/16 od by 1/8 id. No sense in buying it just for the one. A lot of people take a carto condom and will cut it and fit the condom around the center pin so it doe not touch the outside of the atty. I also use a pc of kanthal as a washer to screw the center pin in tight to the inside pc so it will be secure and flush with the bottom. This same tech. can be used to make hte post line up the way you want. The whole inside will unscrew so you can see how it is put together. grab the two post and unscrew the inside counter clockwise.

There is a thread on ecf explaining this with pictures called Dealing with the A7

If you would like to try my version of the modified triangle, AKA (RM2), to see if you like it, I can sell it to you for $20 shipped. only difference is that you have a choice of plated or 2 tone, and It is spun down by hand to fit the juice well rather than turned on a lathe and looks pretty good. Works the same! If you are not happy you pay for the shipping back and I will refund your money. The grooves on the top cap are polished down to brass as well as the bottom on the 2 tone.

I'm getting ready to put my mini Reo, RM2, a couple of unused RDAs, a brand new copper nemi, an unused Sigelei #1 mech & maybe a new 14500 mod in the trading post. The Reo probably doesn't have 8 hours on it & the other stuff (except the 14500) has never been built or fired up. I'm just not a "dripper" and am much more comfortable with my regulated mods, the convenience of plug & charge and the (generally) easier to fire buttons for my arthritic fingers. Gosh, putting it out in the open, I feel kind of like a Reo traitor. LOL.

People were buying them from Ebay as well. If I remember, they came in a bigger pack with 6ml bottles as well as a couple larger than 9ml (too big for Reos). Let me see if I can find some.

I did see some rectangular bottles that I'm sure would be too big on the widest side.

I got mine from amazon; just because I didn't want to wait for the ones to come in from Japan. There is a link on the 1st few pages of this thread.

They came in a package with others and there was only 4 bottle you could use out of the set. They use to be 99 cents for the whole pack.

However I think they went up to like $5

I will look for the link.

Page 2 post #52 has the link to amazon;

Post #89 from katyloo shows where to put the o ring. It should be around the neck of the threads, between the bottom of the cap and the bottle.

There is another link to another ebay post but i think that one is from Japan also. They are the same as the ones Amanda posted but I think there where more in a package. They are all the right size bottles but there was some difference in them or the caps and how they seal i don't remember the details.

click on the blue letters under the picture in post #52 instead of the amazon link. That will bring you to an amazon page on the lower right corner there is a link from " JapanBargain" they ship them out of CA for $2.83.
Again you can only use the top 4 bottles in a pack. I had bought 2 packs for 99Cents each and they have lasted a while now with no problems. you dont have to squeeze them hard and the bottles are very thin but have not broke on me yet.

Fatdaddy's has come out with some new stuff for bottom feeder mods. They still don't have the 510 adapter yet but they came out with a version of there 510 conectors for wooden mods and these center pins to hook up the feed bottles

FYI; Juice botles, i miss spoke and said only the 1st 4 bottles work. That is in the mini.

There are some 8ml bottles that fit the grand. At least the VV grand case, and it take up a 3rd less height space! So you gain 2 ml, an easier squonk and little more space if you need it.................

I don't have the grand just the vv grand case so I am not sure? i am assumming it would fit the grand i will look up the specs but the best bet is for someone who has the bottles and the grand to try it.

EDIT; looking at the specs the grand and VVgrand are the same width and depth so they 8ml bottle should fit the Grand as well. I bet someone is already using them I just may have not been paying attention;)

I love that pen. My reo fires evertime since I started using that. A little goes a long way, and you don't have to use it that often. I have since found a couple other uses for it with my audio headphones as well!
