Hey guys, got my first TC device today:
878de619ad7acdd29079b09360030d97.jpg

Here's the dealio, I'm extremely tech savvy (my forte is assisting others via tech support) - that being said, I've only scratched the surface of what this device is capable of and am having a fairly tough time deciphering the companion application's (EScribe) full uses.... Most of what I see in there is beams new/foreign to me lol.
My request to you guys is if anyone would like to take the time to either help me understand how to fully utilize the aesthetic features as well as the functional aspects of the program as well as the mod itself, I'd very muchly appreciate any input whatsoever.

Pbusardo has 4 or 5 videos on youtube that are all dedicated to the dna200 board. I bet there's a lot of very useful info there. He goes into more detail about that kind of stuff than anyone else I've seen. If I had a dna200 device I'd watch all his videos on it for sure. Good luck.

I actually watched all 3.5 or 4 hours of Phil's "DNA-200 Trilogy". On Saturday I believe.
I highly recommend them.
Between that and investigating this pair, warts and all, I've become a semi-advanced user, and I've never even held one. :D

As I said, I didn't go through the Evolve Tutorial though, that would have been... too fanboi.

I'd already have one of these if I could suffer through the lack of on-mod control.
Barring bugs... even Escribe wouldn't bother me, I've been a gov't lab tech.

And I'd have an RX already, if I could figure an immediate need for a 200w iStick. But I can't. :(
Jim, how do you like that RX?

Thanks folks, ill be sure to check out pbusardo (I'm after seeing a large selection of his past videos)
@Jim_MDP I was going to try the tutorial but it was painstakingly too slow for my patience lol (I might hafta eventually as it is extremely informative, I just gotta get past the super slow aspect of it)
Btw, @BoomStick - death battle ftw [:=

I have the RX as well as the DNA version. The RX vapes real nice. I run Ni200 on it exclusively and she vapes beautifully. For the price its a great mod. Truth be told if I had an RX first I probably would not have bought the DNA. If you like to tinker around with escribe and do crazy ass builds then get the DNA. If you're just a straight up vaper kind of person the uses pre built coils and you're not into fiddling around with escribe then get the RX. I did try a pre built Titanium coil on the RX and its definitely smoother on the DNA. Hopefully that gets fixed with an update. Hey, I can't complain Ni200, Ti, SS, out of the box and its upgradeable all for under $50. In my book that's a steal. Oh. yeah, battery life is insane.

One part of the videos is just about the Escribe software. Might have been part 3.

Can anyone tell me if the RX goes to 200 solid, without pulsing? Ive been trying to find this info, and Ive emailed websites, etc, and I cant find this info anywhere. I mean the one on sale for like 50 bucks.

I do have both. Pretty sure it doesn't pulse. I think that would be the point of running 3 18650's. I only Vape in TC so its a moot point for me. I don't even own any kanthal wire or coils.

Since we're under the "Reuleaux" I should think my question is legit. I'm just wondering if the wiring of the RX200 has the same fault as the DNA200 ones. Anyone knows? I don't want to find out be having to dismantle it. BTW, I own them both and had the DNA200 fixed already.

I don't know exactly what it's called but one of the cable sits folded right under the firing button.

I think it's called a ribbon they are referring to under the button

So? Anyone knows if the RX200 has that same problem? I don't want to dismantle mine to check.

Went ahead and ordered an i200 last night.

On issues with the big boy...
The screen ribbon is a "may fail" so there's no warranty issue at this time. They wont service it if it doesn't cause a fault. In fact... I've seen zero reports of failure, and a couple/few of users screwing it up trying to reposition the cable. Do... or do not? Tough call.

The only other thing I've heard is a DNA200 wide issue. The surface mount fuse pops.
Don't know why. Don't know if there's a common cause.
But it utterly bricks the mod. Non user serviceable. :(

Have had my two for a few days now..Rock solid performance and a great value at only $49...very happy with the RX200...glad I saved $200 not getting two DNA versions with the ribbon issue...just sayin, lolol

One really good thing I would like to add about the RX200 is that it consumes the same amount of batteries at the same time as last night I put the batteires in the charger and the readouts are at the exact same percentage, 42% left. But haven't charge the ones in the DNA200 yet since I just got it and the batteries are still almost full.

Random question pertaining to wires for my Reuleaux DNA200 - is mixing ss316 with ni200 a ridiculous idea or...? (ie. Clapton, parallel, twisted, etc...)
