Anyone here use reusable syringes and if so, where'd you get it? The plastic ones just don't last long.

Thanks.

Amazon has them, pretty expensive though. EBay has them cheap, but they ship from China or Russia. Or as others have said, mixing by weight is the way to go...

Too much Halloween candy. So much for the scary factor!
One reason why we have not bought our Halloween candy yet, it would get eaten so we would then have to buy more before Halloween...

If your flavor bottles all have dropper tips on them, that's really all you'll need. Maybe a couple for VG/PG and nic. unless you have those in squeeze bottles.

Oh, I have squeeze bottles. I had been squirting PG and VG into a huge syringe to measure, then into my little 10 and 15 ml bottles. I was using a smaller syringe for nic. This worked well but the stupid plungers get sticky and the measurement markings rub off...which I guess you probably already know. So I guess all I really need to do is put my 10 ml bottle on my scale and add juice according to calculated weight. Easy peasy.

That's basically it, yep! I generally only use mine for 30ml bottles and up. I just use drops for smaller bottles.

Just hit TARE between liquids. It's almost too easy. Once you get used to it you can mix up all bottles you want in no time at all with no clean up.

For the bottles without dropper tips (like Wizard Labs), I have a large assortment of glass eye droppers. I get them in the pharmacy at Kroger, 99 cents for a 2-pack. They wash up rather nicely.

When I first got in to vaping I was ordering from Virgin Vapor and all of their juice comes in opaque glass dropper bottles, so I have a nice stock of those...incidentally that was the best thing about them. But didn't know you could get them at Kroger.

Just the droppers at Kroger, not the bottles. ;)

Also have tons of these, from .2ml on up to 3ml. They're disposable, which comes in very handy. I get them from the Chinese vendors on eBay, usually not over $2 for 100.

Ever since this mixing by weight fad started I've always wondered WTF?
I can't imagine why anyone would use this method over a simple syringe.

I can't help but feel some of the vaping community has been hypnotized yet again by another silly trend put forth in the name of.... wait, I forgot... What is the reason for this? :)

Who told you guys you could trust an uncalibrated Chinese ****scale more then the marks on the side of a medical syringe?
[/POKE]
**** scales? Ain't breaking shit down! Lmao
I despise syringes and needles, but I have to use them. I have to make medicine in bags of diluent for chickens at work, so the number of times I have stabbed myself is in the hundreds, seeing a syringe makes my fingers hurt.
Those plastic ones posted look like a keeper.

Mixing by weight a fad? Hypnotized?

I'm trying to wrap my head around your thoughts of this but I can't.

I mixed with syringes for a while and it was fine but doing it by weight is another method not a fad.

Scales are not only less mess to deal with, but much faster. I can do three mixes in the time it takes to do one with syringes.

Isn't shark vape the same guy who says if you shake your juice more than twice your playing with it? I would really hate to hit the spot in his juice were the nicotine is all concentrated, talk about head rush.

Mixing by weight is the way to go for me and many others, faster, less clean up, less chance of cross contamination between flavors and for those that hate using syringes it is a god send.

Awesome tip Teresa on those medicine droppers, I am going to pick some up.

In the automotive paint world we always use scales to mix paint which is MUCH harder than juice.

all this talk about scales and syringes is going to bring some unwanted google visitors

Gosh, I feel like I've saved more than the $18.95 the scales cost me in buying syringes plus the aggravation. Lol! But whatever one is most comfortable with is always best. ;)

If I'm mixing up a batch of stuff I have a few glass burrettes that I use for measuring things out. Super accurate, reusable, and pretty quick. If it's just a bottle or two then syringes work just fine for me. Maybe look into a couple glass ones. You could also hit up your local medical clinic and/or pharmacy. A lot of them provide syringes for free in an effort to keep users from sharing or using dirty ones. But that's kinda evil. :p

You can calibrate a scale with an object of a known weight. You can also calibrate the software. The only thing I'd be concerned about is weighing the nicotine, in which case I could use a syringe and I suppose by only using it for that, it's life would be extended. And the plunger does in fact wear out, and I've washed it several times... that's the problem. they're labeled as "For single use only". Plus the markings rub off and I'm constantly having to replace them - I've actually etched one of my syringes, and that worked well, but as I stated before, but the plunger is going bad (which I assume it expanded) and there's too much resistance. Taping is a good idea - I hadn't thought of that. I have graduated cylinders but the problem with that is fluid is left behind - set the cylinder down and roughly 1 ml will settle in the bottom, and I'm too impatient to wait for every last drop and I don't want to waste any. So I started using bigger syringes (30 and 60 ml) as I did with my cylinders, because I could push every last drop out of the syringe, as opposed to sitting and waiting. This method is much quicker. So, I'm going to try using my scales, after I've calibrated them and the software. Then I'll compare the weight of nic with an actual syringe and if it works out, then I'm going to try it. I don't need to weigh flavors.

It's not hard to state an opinion without insults.

The OP already has 2 scales. Let him try mixing by weight and let him be the judge. Don't knock it till you tried it. For me, I see a recipe I want to try, I turn on my scale, put on my bottle , hit TARE, hit TARE between liquids, DONE. I would probably still be buying pre-made juice had it not been for the weight method. I just can't see buying syringes all the time and then cleaning/drying them. I can mix mix up 10 bottles of different flavors with completely different flavorings in 15 minutes and not have a thing to clean.

**** scale. lol. Not everyone has a scale just to measure illicit drugs and damn near everything is made in China, these days. The U.S. isn't a major exporter any more.

My experience exactly! I bought a Horizon scale from Amazon for $15 shipped - best thing I ever did.

That's pretty ignorant generalization you got going there, Why is this thread turning into a shit show knocking different methods of measuring, it makes no sense...do what is comfortable for you. I'm outta this thread:)

That would good! I had taken a flat, very small hobby file and made an impression for wholes and halves ml, then used a sharpie to make them clear to read.
