So I used the stock heads and wick that came with my Atlantis until I started to get the feeling they were burnt (I should note I AM a new vaper). I decided I'd rewick with Koh Gen Do instead of buying new heads, following the guide here:

Both heads have started gurgling after rewicking, an issue I did not have beforehand. Im running at 27 watts on an IPV mini and Im not really sure how to go about fixing this.

I should mention the juice I usually run are 50/50, but the one Im currently testing with is thicker, at 18/72, PG/VG

Ive tried both increasing and decreasing the amount of wicking material used. Neither have worked.

Decreasing the amount of wicking material caused a burning taste. I decreased the wattage to 25-26, but now all I taste is cotton, with an occasional hint of burning still.

It's VG/PG not PG/VG

Koh Gen Do should be fine, just make sure the cotton is touching the inner surface of the head that there are no gaps between the juice holes and the cotton.

So use more, basically?

sounds odd. when i started to do this it cured my gurgling issue. I didn't watch the vid but did you take out that inner sleeve and replace the stuff around it ?. If those are Rip's fingers, he also has a vid showing how to make a horizontal coil which in my opinion is easier and better.

I have two heads: on one I replaced the sleeve with the compressed outer layer of one of the KGD pads, on the other I left the stock sleeve in. Both have resulted in burning or gurgling, depending on how much wick I used.
The vid is done by Uncle Dagger.
I may look at doing a horizontal coil. For now I've ordered more default heads until I can figure out how to get it working without the burning flavor, because all I've been able to get out of both heads over multiple attempts is flooding or burning.
I'll take pics of both heads here in a bit, maybe someone can tell me what Im doing wrong, because it's obvious people are replacing the wick with great success, so I must be doing something wrong if I've failed on all attempts.
