how many of you guys use straight round wire builds? what are your favorites?
I'm confused as to your question. Do you mean using straight coils, as in not twisting the wires or making them claptons?
Not too much on the straight wire. But specifics on your vape style and equipment could help others give you a good suggestion. Wattage, resistance, heat of vape, atomizer, etc?
Just can't get away from fused claptons.
About all I run in a normal coil is 24g dual 12.5 wrap 3.5mm in my noisy cricket. Although even in that, I have gone to fused claptons. Get more, cooler vapor with them at the same wattage. I find it has better flavor and not as harsh.
Even single core claptons really don't do it for me.
Throw in a twisted build once in a while. Just for the hell of it. Never super enthused about it.
Ok. But knowing what kind of equipment you use might help us help you find a good round wire build, if you like.

Sooooo...... what are you working with for an atomizer?
And what wattage?
I think my current setup is at .12/.13 ohms
Is this a 1 battery mech mod?
If so, you are running at a dangerous amperage for your batteries.
You are pulling 22A from a 20A battery. Bad idea. I would not build lower than 0.25 in a one battery mech on a 20A battery. Maybe down to 0.2 on a 30A battery.
Is it a single battery or a 2 battery parallel mod?

As far as I know, the amperage listed for the 25R is a continuous amperage and does not take into account the fact that you were only firing it for 2 to 3 seconds.

20A continuous is the safe number to build to.
Final piece:
Be safe.
I gave my suggestions. Wheter you heed them or not is your choice. But be safe.
I would not personally run my mech to the absolute limit of limits. I like having teeth. And I don't wanna be the latest anti-vape news story.

Anyways, 22g 5 wraps?
Nichrome or kanthal? one strand per coil or more? Are you running single or dual coils?
