RX 200 Tasting burnt, clean atty

So I have a RX200 Vape Mod that is tasting and smelling like burnt paper.
First thing I thought, "Oh burnt atty" So I threw a brand new atomizer, I had just put in 3 days before, away. Primed a new one and put it in, once again burnt flavor, I checked the atty extensively, nothing, brand new out of the package. I changed out my juice and tried another 3 flavors all burnt with no improvement in taste. So I've gone on to think it's maybe the mod itself, it has been dropped before and is used of course with steady and more then average use. I would love to see if anybody has an answer or refer me somewhere to find on. I will try a friends vape and exchange tank and mod to see if its a tank or mod problem maybe?? I'm not too sure, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I did the firmware update, it got better but still tastes burnt, I think it may be a heating coil problem or possibly defective atties if you can think of anything else that may cause it I'll check it out, thank you.

You did not list the atomizer or what coils so from the information given I am thinking maybe not authentic coils.

Welcome and glad you joined.
It can take some time finding the right settings.
