This update is just plain pathetic. Exactly how does Jaybo expect for 250 watts to come out of this mod other than turning it up on the screen with no atty attached? Bravo Wismec Bravo

Dear WISMEC Customers:

Wismec just released the upgraded firmware V3.10 for Reuleaux RX200.

In this version, the maximum output power is upgraded to 250W. One thing should be noted that the recommended resistance range for 250W is 0.1-0.32ohm while the recommended resistance range for 220W is 0.1-0.37ohm.

It does make me wonder if they are tuning anything else when they push out upgrades like this, or if it is just for the sake of the "Wattage Wars" ...

I have this and a Cuboid, and one thing I really like about the Cuboid is that it has a governor built in. I had never noticed it until I was reading and saw a post about it not going any higher than x=25A, so I tested it out, and sure as shit.

They should do a total update on the RX200 and give it a screen like the Evic mini...That would be nice...

They would have to put out a whole new mod with a much bigger screen to accomplish that. I like the Evic set up more than most but prefer the RX to the latter.... I just did the update on mine, despite starting a thread just a couple of weeks ago where I bitched about the 300w Kooper, I couldn't resist.

@Ben-Rod , thanks for the heads up on the interchangeable plates.

I love the upgrade. I've put all my big series builds on it and it works great. Can't wait to get home and spin up those big builds that were just to low to put on any of my other boxes. Think I'll start with a 3x24 alien.

This has really upped my anticipation of the VC600 latter this year.

I too would like to see an amp pull number on the screen.

But, they say 0.1 to 0.32 is the recommended ohm range to push 250 watts out of it. Even at 0.32ohm youd be damn near pushing 30 amps through the battery to hit 250watts, which even with a good VTC4 is pushing it, nevermind going any lower than that. You can still over push your batteries in a regulated mod, them shits can still vent and pop.

Actually 0.32 ohms, 9v @ 27.8A = 250 watts output... While the battery would need to put out at least 10.9v @ 23A for a 250 watt drain. So yes, it is possible with high efficiency regulated mod with three 18650s.

Wasn't planning on doing the update for 250 watts, new fonts are pretty cool though.

Dont think the fonts are included in the update. Thats just from people editing the properties of the software or whatever. There was a guy here a while ago explaining how to do it.

And as far I know the minimum resistance hasnt changed from the 0.1 it was prior, and it probably wont. There arent many mods out there that can fire below .1.

Thanks for letting me know Mythical. I will skip the update then unless my nose pisses off my face, that way I can blow up my nose to spite my face :bomb: :D

Good thing yours didn't brick like a number of other ones I heard about. Joyetech/Wismec must really have some lousy programmers. SS TC still isn't fixed.

So you still have to use tcr a bit higher for it then?

No it works with SS TC for a few weeks and then suddenly it quits working and just displays temp protect instantly when you hit the fire button. Happened to both of mine.

So the update applies to both the RX & DNA but are the problems the same? Such as SS in TC mode not working and the devices going to shit when you try and update?

I don't think it applies to both the RX and DNA. They are completely different chips, and require completely different coding to program. I believe the concern is specifically with the RX based chips.

No the DNA is totally different and doesn't suffer from all of the issues that the RX200 board has. Joyetech/Wismec can't even bother with a design that can read battery voltages correctly. No wonder there is a high failure rate. As it sometimes reports good batteries are bad and bad batteries are good. It is just a total mess IMHO and many things should have been corrected before it hit the market. But I guess Joyetech/Wismec doesn't care about being shabby, just pump out more cheap crap out the door.

Nor have I heard one single case of Joyetech/Wismec ever honoring one single customer's warranty claim. I read online of one vendor (wish I would remember) who sent back defective units back to Joyetech/Wismec for repair and never got them back or ever heard from them again. So the vendor stated they themselves still support their customers and will replace any defective Joyetech/Wismec device out of their own pockets.
