Ok, so after a couple months of use, my Rx200 started acting up. Fyi, I normally and mostly haves only charged my batteries with my ni-core charger. Anyway, my mood has started flashing that it is charging, without anything hooked up to it. The charge level of the batteries seem to have no affect. Any ideas?
The internal electronics in this device are coat protected against minor leaking so it will stand some leaking that gets in the inside, but it can take so much, so if a lot has leaked inside multiple times it will definitely short out some components, here are your options
1- since you have had it for only two months try your luck with warranty, these devices come with 90 days standard warranty, but if it has been damaged by a lot of leaking this might have voided your warranty, it is worth a try.
2- take it apart, get the batteries out, take the circuit board out slightly where you can access all its surfaces, soak a clean cotton + q tips in rubbing alcohol, gently clean all components, connectors, chip etc with the rubbing alcohol, clean your battery posts etc, all electrical components, allow the alcohol to evaporate, check your batteries wrapping is in a good condition, clean your battery poles too, put it back together and see if it works, also remember to soak your USB port in rubbing alcohol and let it dry.
3- if this does not fix the problem, time to buy a new one.
