Hi all I have an RX200 with a TFV4. I'm not getting hardly any vapor clouds out of the thing. Using 12mg nic juice. Halo Shamrock juice. I'm using the quad vertical coil that comes with the TFV4
40W and 290 F for temp.

I have no idea what I'm doing. Any help is appreciated. Getting better performance out of my Eleaf Istick mod with aspire mini tank.

290F is too low.
Is that even a TC coil? If not switch to VW

well first off, you can't use temp control for the TFV4. Temp control is based on material. the RX only does SS, Ni, and Ti. The TFV4 uses kenthal coils. The only devices to temp control kenthal are hohmtech ones. So take the mod off temp control. and use wattage mode only

2ndly 40 watts isn't enough for those coils. thats the minimum for that coil, but the sweet spot is 80-100 watts. you could probably be good as low as 65 watts though depending on how much vapor you want. 40 will be a little low though

The TFV4 does have TC coils, just not the one that he's using.
And yes 40W is too low in any case.

true, i should have been more specific that the coils he is using aren't for temp control

This is what I'm using right now. Film of vape on the roof of my mouth when I hit it. Sounds like firecrackers going off when I hit it. Any other ideas guys before I smash this thing? :headbang:

It is popping and cracking because you have the wattage turned too low.
The TF-Q4 coils are NOT for temp mode.
They are rated 40-140 watts but at 40, you'll end up with the exact result you are getting.)
Keep yourself safe, put it in wattage mode, turn it up to between 77 and 112° F.

Stainless Steel 26 gauge 7 wraps on a 3.0 bit or Kanthal. Turn up the Fahrenheit. Or maybe you need to tighten your leads on the deck.
lol i was just curious, I'm not the OP. i used the 3 coil RBA for my TFV4, but I don't use that tank much anymore now that I have the TFV8

I think my main issue is this thing is a hot rod, I'm not use to that and I'm using 12mg juice.

It needs wattage....
IMAG1390.jpg

Using the quad, thesixtupple, the octa..... I'm usually at the beginning low around 60 watts then after a day or two around 85 watts..... After a week the juice begins flowing better and the range is 85 to 125 watts....... They do need power.......
