Saline and...acne?

So I made a a batch of candy cane juice and I used a little saline. I like the effect it has on the flavor and consistency and I've noticed that it clears my sinuses a bit, which is awesome. However, since using this juice, my face is breaking out like I'm in middle school again. Is there something about saline that leads to acne? I've noticed that I get more condensation from this juice than others, so could it just be that more of my high vg juice condensation is getting on my face? Is it just coincidence?

its the end of summer, if your breaking out a little, I would bet its due to the end of summer heat. It gets hot where I live at around 6pm and lasts until around 4am...that can lead to some summertime pillow issues if I don't keep my head shaved. Today the heat finally broke here!!! woke up to rain and clouds! I LOVE THE NORTHWEST!

I would say it's a coincidence. Saline has actually been used to treat acne. That said I would question the safety of inhaling salt.

Saline is used specifically in nasal sprays to clear nasal passages - so it's considered safe.

That said, I would doubt it's the saline causing acne!

Yeah. I guess it's just the summer heat. Seems strange though since it hasn't happened in years.

It could be the pg and/or vg. Either one of those causes acne in some.

Wiping it on your face, though, shouldn't be a problem. PG and VG are in almost every soap product available.

I'd be wondering about the Candy Cane myself, peppermint alergies?

I heard it's also a reaction when people stop smoking. Not for everyone, but some. But, if you've been vaping a while, I'll say what everyone else does. I'm mid 40's and get occasional break outs. Still giggle when it happens. Then have a teenage meltdown.

Hahaha. Well I think we're all on the same page. I've been vaping for years, so I don't think it's vaping it general that's causing it. I've been using candy cane for like 6 months, but this is the first time adding saline, so I thought if vaping was the cause, it must be the saline since that's the new variable. I think its just a coincidence, but I might try a batch without saline and see if theres a change. Thanks to all for your help!
