Salted Caramel Waffle
Salted Caramel Waffle, by Dinner Lady. We are promised a fluffy waffle topped with salted caramel, let's see if it measures up. Thanks to Vapeo24 for making this review possible; you can visit their website to learn more about them and the liquid.
According to the manufacturer: "Irresistible. Inimitable. Unmatched. A golden artisan waffle, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, covered in liquid salted caramel and with that little touch of whipped cream topping off the mix that will make you feel guilty once you've devoured it. But what a sweet sin, it's impossible to resist..."
In the smell test, I can perfectly detect the caramel, although I can't catch the salty note. I can smell a solid waffle base and, deep in the background, a hint of the promised whipped cream. Just from the smell, I can tell this liquid is quite sweet, though not so much that it becomes cloying.
The liquid was tested on an RDA with handmade coils, so the result might vary on a POD-style device. I can taste the waffle flavor, although I notice a strange note in the overall profile that I can't quite describe. For me, the caramel fades into the background; I can taste it, but it's too subtle. It's not very well balanced, not to mention that the salty touch isn't even present, just like the whipped cream. I also pick up a slight icy/minty note that completely throws me off.
For me, this liquid doesn't accurately recreate what it describes, and from my point of view, I wouldn't highly recommend it. I'm confident there are liquids out there that better recreate the flavor of waffles and caramel.
