I saw on the liion website that 25r is 100 amp pulse. What does that mean?

That means that if you put high drain or stress on the battery, it is tested to be good to 100 amps, usually for one second of firing.

Generally we recommend going by the continuous ratings (20A for the 25R) but some customers are interested in rated pulse currents. The 25R can withstand 100A for less than 1 second according to Samsung.
