Don't miss this new deal on a TV that usually never sees a discount. As part of its Memorial Day Sale, Best Buy is offering the 55" Samsung S95FD 4K QD-OLED Smart TV for just $899 with free shipping. Amazon currently has it for $1,600. It is sold through Brandsmart, which is an authorized Samsung reseller. The S95FD was the highest end Samsung OLED TV in 2025 and I doubt there are very many units available at this price (tl;dr it might sell out quickly).
55" Samsung S95F 4K QD-OLED TV for $899 for Memorial Day
The S95FD appears to be identical to the S95F, the top-end TV in Samsung's 2025 OLED lineup. That extra "D" just means that this TV was originally sold through a club wholesaler (it's listed at Sam's Club for $1,700). If you were to compare this TV with LG's equivalent, the Samsung S95F would be in the same tier as the LG Gallery Series. The extremely bright quantum dot (QD) OLED panel retains all of the other benefits of OLED like the near instaneous response time, true black levels, and near-infinite contrast ratio. The S95F also features an anti-glare matte screen that virtually eliminates glare.
Exclusive to the S95 series of TVs is an included "One Connect" box that allows you to consolidate all of your wired connections in a separate location from the TV, which in turn connects to the TV via a single cable. That allows for a much cleaner setup without any need to route several cables up along your wall.
The Samsung S95F also has the features you'd want in a gaming TV, including a native 120Hz panel with HDMI 2.1 ports that is ideal for PS5 and Xbox Series X gaming. The refresh rate can be pushed to 165Hz for PC gaming.
Is this TV good for Nintendo Switch 2?
Despite being a current generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2 has lax TV requirements compared to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When the Switch is connected to its dock and a television, it is only capable of outputting a 4K resolution signal at up to 60 frames per second. It can go up to 120fps if the resolution drops to 1080p, but the data rate required for both these options is pretty much the same, and you would much rather play any game in 4K. That said, the Switch 2 will still benefit greatly from the OLED panel's stellar image quality (much like how the Switch OLED was a substantial visual upgrade from the original Switch).
