SFO has reduced terminal noise by limiting gate announcements, cutting overlapping PA messages, and dialing back tenant music. The airport says the International Terminal alone now avoids more than 90 minutes of unnecessary announcements each day, and it is also working to quiet escalators and moving walkways.
