Screwdriver Set

Can anyone recommend a good (and cheap on a budget right now) screwdriver set? I'm looking for something that will tighten my atty screws and to wrap my coils on. If you can recommend one, please provide the link. I don't mind delivery from over seas.

You can also get them from Amazon or Walmart. Or any precision screwdriver set you're comfy with.

I think my set came from Home Depot...but any home/general store should have something to fit the bill for less than $5...

I got mine from the Dollorama (Canadian Dollar Store) 16 piece set for $1.50 (Flat head, Phillips head, Hex heads, and Allen heads) in 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm for our purposes, and they work great for positioning coils too. Kit looks something like this, just a basic precision screwdriver set, can get them anywhere

I thought 6 pieces for $1.98 would take the trophy, but 16 for $1.50 wins. Nice.

I bought the yellow Stanley set, but I wish I had gotten the metal set. The handles of the yellow ones get in my way sometimes when trying to center coils. Other than that they work fine.

Haha, $2 for 6 still isn't too bad either (and more pocketable), but yeah, dollar stores are great for things like that.
I got 2 pair of pliers (toothed and smooth), side cutters, 16 piece screwdriver set, 6pk micro-fibre cloths, 2 mini desk organizer drawer thingys (4 drawers each) for supplies, and a belt pouch that I can carry 2 box mods in, all for less than $12. I know people who have spent more for just a pair of side-cutters FFS, absolutely crazy. I always hit up the dollar store first, I swear they've saved me thousands over the years lol.

I own a set of both the Stanley and Ultrasteel screwdrivers and I really prefer the Stanley for my building.

I used to use a wire coat hanger and jut use the special blue screw drivers that come with the atty.

I cut a piece of the hanger and that actually served me quite well for a good while.

I've been needing a new set of snips. Gonna check out my dollar stores. I've been overlooking them. Thanks.

If you are in the mood to spend a little more, you can cobble together a few Wiha drivers to make a good set...

...and toss in a few PB Swiss drivers when you want something a little nicer than what Wiha has to offer...

I have one just like this, was 4 or 5 bucks at Harbor Freight. The smaller set looks handier though

Make sure you clean them before use, I wiped them with a cloth and rubbing alcohol, lots of oil and black crap came off.

Ya clean them bastards well.
If I was doing small work like the last job WiHa, Swiss or GTFO. serious handsavers.
For cheap a shit the 2 buck ones from wallmart works well picked up a set the other day.

Someone, here or ECF, was touting some top-end brand's flush cutters... just because of using SS wire. The lesser model was over $85.
(Yes... they're his dedicated vape snips)

My couple of $4 pairs are doing fine. :p

Oh... and I use that same 6-piece driver set above. About $4 at WallyWorld.
Plus the new extra fat mandrel that came with the iSub RBA kit... 3.4mm I think.

Plato flush cutters.. 4-15 bucks.. there is ZERO wire or wire monster coil that will dull those.
I have cut through thousands of screws with a set at my old job and that pair was still chewing apart cellphones like it was going out of style.

Thanks, I'll try to keep the name in mind.
I figure when one of mine shows damage, I'll order a couple more. Whatever brand looks best, in that price range.

I just checked the newer, and better, pair... C.H.P. (Made in Italy). They seem fine.
