At this point, the popular Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood has tackled some of the biggest, most iconic horror series, with mazes for the likes of A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Walking Dead and many more. That being the case, it’s not surprising that they’re revisiting some previous titles again, allowing attendees another chance to walk into the worlds of these stories they love – and this year, that includes the return of Alien vs. Predator and John Carpenter’s Halloween.
During a recent press day, I was among a group of press given an early, daytime walk-thru of both upcoming mazes -- as work continued to get them ready for their debut this coming Friday -- with Creative Director John Murdy discussing how he and his team approached both of these very famous pieces of cinema being brought to life.
