series to parellel box mod

hello i just aquired a series box and would like to know how to convert it to a parellel box with the exsisting wiring. the battery on the left has the negative at the top. could i just run the negitive wire to the bottom and flip the battery over and connect the 2 positive at the top? behind the volt meter is a mosfet

Why would you want to change it? Looks like a pretty clean box build. Just build your atty coils at .5 or higher and you'll have a great setup

its really too much and was wanting a parellel box but couldnt pass up the deal is it possible?

It's possible if you pretty much gut the whole thing and start over. I don't think the mosfet is the same you would use for parallel. But you have something better than parallel right now. What are you using as an atomizer? What is too much?

i have a billow v2 and a mutation x that i use on it it seems to go thru the juice and burn the cotton wick really fast. I do like the instant response when i press the button thou

What ohms are the billow v2 & mutation coils at? Also, what gauge wire are you using? With series, you have to build at higher ohms to get the same as you would with parallel. Actually more efficient.

Parallel and series use the same type of mosfet. Most commonly a 3034 n-channel mosfet. The other type is a p-channel mosfet. Both work in either type of box, but the wiring is different depending if it's a p-fet or a n-fet.

OP:
In order to change it, you have to be at least comfortable with soldering. If that's no problem, you just change a few wires.. you don't even have to gut the whole thing. I've rewired some tugboat boxes into series.the main thing is to bridge the bottom connections as the negatives and the tops as the positives. Depending on the way it's wired originally, it shouldn't be all that difficult.

It looks like that box uses a n-channel mosfet based on the negative from the top left battery contact running to the mosfet. If you are careful and confident in your soldering ability, all you have to do is disconnect the negative wire from the battery contact, bridge the top two contacts and reconnect the negative wire to the bottom of the battery sled.

I attached a wiring diagram if my explanation was misunderstood.

Also. If you aren't 100% sure you can rewire it, I wouldn't try it. If you mess up it'll auto fire and fry the mosfet.

It may be more efficient, but it is also potentially more dangerous. If he's not comfortable with it, he's not comfortable with it.

True. A Porsche is potentially more dangerous than a Dodge mini-van too. !! He just has to change his mindset about building low ohm coils and he'll be just as safe. utilizing steam engine wouldn't hurt either.

What's your coil built to? Was this an authentic mod or a clone? If it was a clone I would have just bought a parallel box as clones are generally pretty cheap.
