Well, was really happy with this thing until the button started sticking today. I bought it partially based on the safety aspect as compared to my mod. Really stinks because I love this it. Anybody else have this issue?

Wow, kinda surprised to hear that.

I only have this one half assed suggestion for you.

Remove the batteries, and douse the button with WD40 and work it.

This happened to my brother @MikeSully as well. Returned it, new mod seems OK so far. I had mine stick 2x in the last month, but his was sticking constantly.

I don't have the 100+. just the regular 100. But from what I can tell, the only differences are the magnets and the firing pin.

So this might not apply.
What part is sticking? The button is 3 pieces. There is the actual button on the circuit board inside, plus the two pieces visible from the outside which are the actual piece you press on and the ring around it (held to the metal box by a nut on the inside). If it is the plastic on the outside that is sticking, then it could possibly be easily fixed with some sandpaper. The large plastic piece can unscrew pretty easily (had it happen to mine a few times from normal usage) and the button piece comes out of the ring easily. Just sand the inside of the ring or the button a little so it isn't such a tight fit then just screw it back down with your fingers. The nut on the inside wont spin freely (but can slide up/down) so it is possible to get it tight with just your fingers by pressing down on the ring while trying to spin it. Make sure to remove the batteries first since you'll be practically pressing on the button and don't want it turning on and firing.
If it's not the plastic piece, then it could be that the switch on the circuit board is defective which can't easily be fixed.

I will say again the above is based purely on my experiences with the normal 100 watt.
But, my coworkers 150 watt appeared to have the exact same button design, so I have to guess the 100+ has it as well.

I'm going to try to pull it apart in the next couple of days and take a gander at the insides. I've read that the chip is not fixed to the board very well and the chip itself is moving back. I should state that I noticed the button felt different this morning. A little while ago I decided, with the device turned off, to push the button slightly in a direction while pressing down and bam, she stuck. figured I'd simulate of I was gripping it funny and pressed. Have not had it happen with the device on yet. I would hate to. Thanks for your replies guys and I will keep you updated.

Btw, I still absolutely love this thing. I would buy it again in a heart beat. Minor problem.

I have the 150; my button only sticks if i depress the button and slide my finger off of it. I think the 100+ and the 150 have slightly different buttons though...

Thankfully, my 100+ hasn't stuck yet (knock on wood). But as your mentioned, I absolutely love mime as well! Freaking amazing! Battery life is great too, 1-2 days for me.

Same here. I would just hate to Jane it happen and not catch it.

Same here. Heard the battery life was good but I had no idea I'd actually be getting 2 days out of it.

as @Sully said, my 100+ had sticky button syndrome. Press hard and slide the finger off the button and it sticks on. I concur with the circuit board wiggling theory. It feels like the button is able to be pressed slightly too far in and gets caught on the surrounding ring. Exchanged it and started to monitor how hard I was pressing it and no problemo. I do find myself warning people who use my mod not to press the button too hard, though. I hate to babysit it all the time but damn I love this thing.

I saw a video where a guy replaced the connector on one with a fdv 510. Any chance a button replacement could be done?
