Sigelei 200 fuchai tc nickel build problems

Just got 2 of these in today and I can't seem to get a good build in either one. 26 gauge tempered ni200 7 wraps 3mm spaced. One reads the coil at .5 resting and .14 once fired. Other one reads at .27 resting or fired no matter what build I put in it. Both will glow red and light the wick on fire even with tc set at 212° Fahrenheit. I would assume it would be real unlikely to get 2 bad mods but I can't figure out what else it could be. I also trapped the leads under the post screws and not through the post holes.

Most people don't realize the the Sigelei Fuchai 200W TC Mod does not auto lock the resistance when the mod is in Ni or Ti mode you have to press the > and fire button to lock the resistance. If you do not lock the resistance it will continue to increase power and cause your cotton to burn. This has to be ddone to get temp control to work. It does say this in the user manual. That's why it's good to read. If you have any more questions just ask.
