Huh. I put some different batteries in and now it says 25 amps, and will go all the way to 213. I guess it depends on your charge level?

I've never noticed my battery level affecting the available wattage.

It will not affect voltage and amps but the chip will limit/regulate the watts/power of ur batteries to prevent BOOM!!
Just like joyetech chips

Low battery bro
Ah....That kind of sucks, the 100wTC Istick says "short" when the battery is low and it seems to happen sooner then later when the battery should be more then half....I dont like that.

Yup, I don't like that either, I'm done with all this limited mods bro..
My DNAs will fire all the way down to the 3.2 volts battery life and still fire at 90 watts...
All these joyetech chip running mods are limited
The Sigelei 213 is now included in the list
Hopefully the snow wolf 218 is not!!

The rx200 starts lowering the power on it's own. When I did the Boreas 200W test, it only sustained that for a few minutes. Then went to 197W. Then a few minutes later, it went to 193W. And just kept lowering it.

Why doesn't someone plug this into a PC and see if the PC detects the device? If it does, firmware upgradeable...If it doesn't, probably not user upgradeable but still possible.

Hand check!

Damn this thing is super light! Coming from carrying a Reuleaux in the pocket for the last few week, I hardly even know it's there! I'd be willing to bet it's lighter than my 50w zero clone, even with double the batteries inside!

...and it is definitely real carbon fibre, one look in person makes that pretty obvious.

Damn, I like the gold. That'll look sick with a gold Crown.

Can u do it for me
I wil pay shipping??
I probably could, but you'd be amazed at how easy it is. The hardest part is getting the orings off and back on.

ETA: I think this guy recommends butane, but I did just fine with a propane torch. Either one can be bought very cheap.

ETA: Wow, $25 bucks for that torch, fuck that. Just grab a cheap propane torch head from Walmart for like $5. Uses the small camping propane cylinders that are also cheap. It's something every man should have anyways, money well spent.

ETA: Propane probably works a lot better than a small butane torch, because the flame is much bigger and more diffuse, which means a uniform color is easier. If you're only wanting gold, that's super easy because you don't have to get it that hot.

I know @raymo2u was interested in this as well, so I'll tag him.

They have much better and cheaper hand torches in the Auto section where the connectors and bondo is for around $9

Who makes it? Sigelei , with their NEW chip...the 213, oops I meant 218.... Seriously though, my best advice for now is to RUN, not walk away from anything NEW with the Sigelei name on it(actually just associated with it) . Until the current issues are resolved!!!

Many users are reporting issues, of TCR not working at all, TFR sometimes works, other times doesn't, and screen corruption. Sigelei's seemed to have changed their warranty policy :

http://vapenw.com/sigelei-213w-box-mod

Warranty / After-Sale Service:

Due to Sigelei’s policy change, all of Sigelei’s warranties are handled by ACM Vape at http://www.acmvape.com/WARRANTY

Yes, I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist.....

I have had my doubts about the Sigelei 213 supporting firmware updates, I guess we should find out pretty quickly now.....

Why did I have my doubts? No mention of firmware update on Sigelei's site, the box the mod came in, or the manual...and Sigelei has never had a product with firmware updates.....so, IF they made a product that had the feature, why wouldn't they have it listed on their site, the box, the manual... The ONLY place you find the information about firmware upgrade ability is SOME sites that are selling it......

Here is where the thread started about the issues :

Someone said the 213 is not made by Sigelei?! I read it somewhere, and the chip is not made by them, like I said
Sigelei should swallow their pride and start adopting the DNA chip, imagine the 213 with the DNA chip in it, Sigelei been slacking after the success they got from the sig150 og btw I still have 3 of those... I'm keeping my predictions
$40 bucks is what this box is worth... I'm just saying

The board is supposedly designed by Suprimo, I have my doubts...I think the firmware is by Suprimo and the board by whomever made the Sigelei Fuchai board.

I know a few people said Sigelei doesn't make the chip in the Sigelei 213, I did as well... It's actually made by Suprimo, the same who designed the Moonshot....

The issues with them just using the DNA chip, one is cost, and two, what makes them ANY different from all the other DNA mod manufacturer then?

Dude
SIGELEI, that brand NAME is enough for all n for me to buy it with a DNA chip.........
They should start adopting it, instead of trying to be different, that delays shipping and distribution...JUST SAYING

I have no idea, but Suprimo claims they made the chip, and designed the mod. I did also see a youtube video of someone from Suprimo talking about the chip, and stating it was theirs, and the designed it for the Sigelei 213.....

I know that's what they say.

I also know the Fuchai has the exact same 15 second misfire bug, pretty big coincidence...

Like ej1024 stated. It's a Sigelei regardless of who designed what.

Oh,ok. I wasn't aware that the Fuchai has a similar misfire bug.... You're right, that is a HUGE coincidence!

So this been out a while now, whats the consensus? Worth the $80+? Is it a must have? Is it kinda cool but not $80+ cool? Or is it just a turd?

I dig the smallness factor and how light it looks like itd be, I might get one just based on that. Right now Im either carrying my RX which is a total brick in the pocket, or something smaller like my Treebox or Target VTC which dont have the power I like. Guess I could always carry the Noisy Cricket, but constantly flipping the button would get old fast....or could take the Hammer of God and have a vape and self defense weapon all in one lmao

I'm guessing you haven't read the last few posts, about issues with TCR not working at all(mod just does wattage mode) TFR only working sometimes, screen corruption, some users having issues with misfires, and potentially questionable firmware upgrade option????

If you've any interest in TC vaping, then I certainly would not recommend it, unless they fix the issues.

If you only vape in power mode, then it's one of the best mods out there for pocketability+power/battery life.

As I've said elsewhere: "I'd order 2 more of these mods if I had the money. $80 delivered is a hell of a deal for this small, lightweight, powerful, amazing hardware build quality, fast charging, beautiful, preheating, REAL carbon fibre mod."

Coming from the boat anchor Reuleaux, this thing is awesome (for me).

Wow man this mod just came off my list. Glad I read this. I was waiting for ecig.com to get it back in stock. I only vape in tc. What shame , I was really digging the gold one.

Got one incomming, but if knew of the issues beforehand I wouldn't have ordered, even though I only use power mode. It is a awfull shame that companies put such crap on the market before testing if it actually works as advertised.....

This is why it makes no sense to recommend this mod currently (without being very specific about the issues), even to wattage only users.

You figured you were getting extra value by all the extended features you may use eventually correct?

Even in wattage mode it has problems, mine and plenty others reported it misfires at times, don't expect that from mod at this price point, shame as it looks and feels awesome, but the chip really lets it down though.

I'm always a bit leery of a chip made by a company I've never heard of before. On top of that it seems to me that Sigelei isn't the same as they once were. What I mean by that is they use to use Yihi chips, be known for rock solid mods, etc. Seems like the company has went in a new direction since the the 150 series (not a better direction imo). Seems a little like Schwinn in the old days when they started living off their reputation but had been passed by a lot of companies (I'm talking about late 70's time frame if memory serves me correctly).

Lastly, if I was going to spend ~$80 now, I would get the Hcigar VT133. As a heads up I also saw Ecig.com is blowing out the Hotcig DX200 for ~85 with coupon code (both use DNA200 chips). Seems like there are some great deals going around atm.

Cheers,
Steve

Apparently the chip in the 213 is a Suprimo? Wtf? I love my Lil Sig 75. It was my 1st mod and it's a tough little sucker. I think I'm gonna pass on this one even at under $70. Sig really needs to get their shit together. Smh.

I would take the sig 213 over the sig 75 any day, I only used the sig 75 for a few days before I threw it in a draw to collect dust, the doors move around, which is really annoying to use and the battery life on it sucks, one of the worst mods I have bought, but after the sig 213, sure won't be look at anymore sig mods that's for sure.

Couldn't disagree more. My doors never moved on the lil 75. It was a rock solid little mod and at the time it did tc when no one was doing tc. I still vape on it till this day. In fact that and my SX M Class are still 2 of my favorite single 18650 mods. Of course you would take a 213 over it. The Sig 75 is over a year old which in mod time makes it ancient.

Yea I watched reviews on it before I bought it, and reviews said doors was solid, think I just got unlucky with mine, and I only used it in power mode, which compared to other mods, it didn't last as long on battery life, but was a good looking mod though.

That's true bro, my only complaint was that lil guy sucked the batteries. I used to go thru 2-4 18650's a day. Lol
