A buddy of mine gave me a Sigelei Ares tank last week, sans the pyrex, and said that he wasn't having any luck finding a replacement glass for it and that I couid have it if I wanted it.

I sent customer support at Sigelei an email figuring that going right to the source would be my best chance at finding some glass for this tank, and wouldn't ya know, Sigelei warranty\cust support wrote me back saying that they didn't support the Ares tank with extra parts, and that to the best of their knowledge, there was no such thing as a replacement glass for the Ares tank!

What kind of outfit doesn't support their own products with spare parts?

Apparently Sigelei!

Anywho, the tank was a freebie so it's not really skinning my nose, but it would be nice to find some glass for this thing and give it a whirl. I haven't had any luck finding any aftermarket glass for it either.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you can find the dimensions on the glass part, should be a bit easier. Fasttech sells a lot of different sizes that may not be brand specific, but some do fit other tanks.

Same company that puts out a 213 watt mod that can only deliver 155W
Same company that lied about adding firmware upgradability

Fuck them. They might have been a good company, but that time has long since pasted

Man, Sigelei's been fucking up all over the place lately. I hope all of the bad press doesn't do them in. And when I say that, I mean that I hope they get their shit together. They should fall if this how its gonna be now (sends a message that even the biggest names can be tarnished if they fuck their users over,) but looking over at my Sig 150 TC, it'd be a shame to see the company that made that... ...the same company that used to make literal game-changers that were loved by all, go the way it's going.

Yeah... I'm thinking measure the best I can, and then search to find something as close as possible. For some reason I'm thinking the Moonshot glass may work. I know that is the same diameter, it just depends on the height.

I still can't believe that a company as well known as Sigelei would produce an item like this and just say eh sorry, when it comes to support... especially in regards to something like a tank glass. I mean, if there is one part that will need to be replaced, it would be the glass.

I haven't been into vaping all that long, but given the amount of competition out there, it just seems like a pretty boneheaded move on their part. It will certainly be a consideration on future purchases... for me anyway.

Thanks for the replies and such. Looks like a pretty cool forum y'all got going here!

You might even find the exact dimensions online. I don't have one of those fancy caliper things, so if you have one of those, you could even get one made. IBTanked used to do those, I think they're still going.

Hey... maybe I could get IBTanked to make me a bunch of them and then sell them to everybody else that has a useless Ares tank laying around.

It could be that the tank is junk anyway, and nobody really cares to pay a buck or two for a new glass when the break theirs.

The tank appears to be a quality built product, but if it doesn't perform, it could be the reason for the lack of support. Maybe Sigelei just wants it to fade away and be forgotten. Lol

Certainly a possibility, and since not many Ares users have posted here, that might be a sign,, LOL. I have no idea, never used one. I wouldn't think they'd charge more than $5 for it, but if you get the exact dimensions, you'd probably find it cheaper. It could be a good last resort option.

Nothing Sig does actually shocks me after the 213 debacle. Sad thing is Sig fanboys will still line up to buy their new mods and claim they do TC. Smfh!

I gave up on Sigelei with that POS eVic (original) competitor they put out. Now that was a real piece of garbage. You know, the one you had to shake to get into the menu that never actually went into the menu no matter how you shook it? Yeah, that one. POS.
