Smaller mod for out and around

I got the COV Volt Mini yesterday. I vape at low wattage (10-12W), so 40W may not be enough for the OP. Having written that, I really, really like it.

My D2 is solid as a rock and easily fits in a pocket. The D3 as previously mentioned is a slight upgrade. I will say that larger tanks (my Crown) make it quite top heavy and more prone to tipping. I currently have a TFV4 mini on mine for "traveling", and it works great. I have a simple 24g 0.42ohm build on the RBA deck and run it at 30-35w. It works like a champ and I usually have no problem getting a day out one battery so I don't even carry the charging cable with me.

Just picked up the minivolt kit from a local shop. It's tiny and compact, and battery life isn't as bad I thought it's lasted me a work day with some decent vape time on it.

Just thought I'd add my opinion. I've heard a lot of good things about the EVIC mini (can't speak from experience) but a lot of people think it is one of the best compact mods for the money right now. But from what I have, I got the snow wolf mini in not too long ago and am loving it! I vape it around 30-40 watts with my triton tank

The COV Mini is pretty awesome... a lot of decent features and battery packed in something just bigger than a zippo lighter. I've found that with lower wattages and higher ohm coils, this thing will last me the better part of a day out and about and "stealth" vaping. I use it with a Derringer RDA, and if I decide to use a tank, the Goblin Mini RTA is similarly tiny. Either way, the whole shebang fits entirely in a closed fist... pretty cool.

Here it is with Goblin tank... about the same size as a 30ml juice bottle (but thinner), and maybe half the size of a deck of cards!

Never heard of it before but it looks small and if it is waterproof and crushproof would be good for a out and about small mod.

I picked up an invader... it's not small, and it's HEAVY as hell. Definitely NOT something you drop in your pocket! But it IS indestructible!

Really appreciate all the responses. Looks like battery life with a single 18650 might not make sense. Can an Evic VTC Mini or Presa 75 last a day of light to moderate use, more on the weekends?

If not, would a Kbox 200 or iStick 100 TC be smaller and lighter than rx200, Koopor Plus, or IPV 3 Li? I mention those 2 because they offer 316 SS TC right out of the gate, being new products.

Unfortunately, DNA just not feasible now. Champaign taste, beet budget I guess, nice as an Efusion would be.

My Evic lasts me all day. Right now, I have it at 10w with a 0.5 ohm coil.

There's truly no good response to that. It depends on how you use it, and the type of vaping you engage in. Lower ohm vaping takes a LOT more power. If you're a "cloud chaser", then you're wasting tons of juice (both electrical and e-juice). If you're actually vaping for the taste, the nicotine, etc... then yes... a small device CAN last all day.

Keep your coils in the 1-2 ohm range, and you might be surprised at how much vaping you can do with a smallish battery. Remember that plenty of people used to vape on those little pen-cap sized e-Go batteries that held about 400mah. Many carried a spare, or recharged at some point, but still consumed less than 1 amp hour for the whole day.

No... I've got the V1. I think the V2 is bigger and designed to be a bit easier to build out the deck. I prefer the micro size of this little tank... I bought it specifically for stealth vaping. It's 22mm tall x 22mm wide. If I remember correctly, the V2 is taller at about 28 or 29mm.

Oh, is this the Nano?? I have a mini. I was curious about the drip tip on yours. I'd love to find one that fits better at a reasonable price.

Yes, I think you're correct... it's the nano. As for the drip tip, I really don't remember. I have a lot of them kicking around and don't remember which ones came with which atty's or orders. I got a few 10 packs of them a while back, and the short little delrin ones were probably among those. Pick up a couple 10 packs of tips at FastTech, and you'll never have to search for one again: https://www.fasttech.com/search?10 pack drip tips

Oh, I have a bunch, too, but the Goblin Mini (v1) kind of has a dedicated one and it's a real pain, LOL. Even the adapter for 510 DT doesn't fit right.

If not, would a Kbox 200 or iStick 100 TC
I wouldn't call either the Kbox 200 or the iStick 100 TC small.
The eVic VTC Mini is a good choice and so would the Wismec Presa 75.
Personally I'd go with a Innokin Cool Fire IV Plus Storm Edition.

That don't look right did you mean a 1.5 ohm coil perhaps?
Nope. My coil is zero point five, set at 10w on my eVic VTC Mini. I typically do vape higher ohms with lower watts with this juice, but this is working out well. A combination that goes too warm with this one burns the juice up too fast.

This one fits nicely in the hand.

I don't bring this one out and about very often... for some reason it really seems to bother some people!

I have the eVicMini, the Presa 75w and the Mini Volt. I like all three but from my experience: Presa 75w feels a little light and flimsy. Kind of like pressed sheet metal instead of milled. I'm not saying that's what it is made of , just that it feels like that. The performance is good, at lower watts (10-14) it should last all day. I like the little switch that locks the fire button. The eVic mini feels solid! It is solid. With the Goblin nano from FT, it is a good stealth rig. Between the two, I'd go with the eVic.
The MiniVolt is just a fun little mod. I have a Pico and a Clone-buki built at 2.3 ohms or thereabouts on each (2 Mini Volts, one red and the other black). Between the two, I can make it thru the day. I would go for the eVic Mini but YMMV.
I also have the D2, bought it 2 weeks before the D3 came out:(. Besides the stupid proprietary charging, it is fine. It sucks that every time you want to change batteries you have to pull off the silicone sleeve (included).

Forgot to mention I just pulled the trigger on That Innokin Cool Fire Plus Storm Edition & The Balrog.
Gotta vape them all, gotta vape them all.

The Cool Fire IV is a great looking mod. I don't believe it can do SS temp control, or that it can take firmware updates, but correct me if I'm wrong. I believe same for the Cortex.

I've seen the Kbox 200 doesn't do it well, and is built to a price, and the 120 is no smaller.

Also, seen something on Vaping 360 where Wismec is having some 510 connection issues, especially with the tfv4, and won't honor warranty on rx200, which I have.......unless using a Wismec tank. How they could prove, no clue. This and the flimsiness of the Presa leave me less interested in Wismec, and the Joye Evic and Cuboid.

Asking 1 mod to do all may be unrealistic. Might get an iStick 100 W for grip anywhere fire button and SS, then maybe the Innokin later.

Many of us have the tfv4 rx200 combo, so if the mods all die young, there will be some noise.

The Cool Fire IV Plus storm edition doesn't do temp control at all.
The Cortex does use TC but not 100% sure if it can use SS.Knowing Innokin there will either be an update to it or a new version that can use SS.

Asking 1 mod to do all may be unrealistic.
There's a big reason I'm saving up for the Lavabox by Volcano

First off let me preface by saying that I vape between 30 and 50 watts in and out of TC mode. My eVic VTC Mini and my Wismec Presa get the most action followed by my Cuboid which gives superior battery life to the single battery options. When at home I am all about using my VF Stout. I have lots of other mods but I use those listed because the way I vape get superior results. I am looking forward to the eLeaf iStick 100TC...guess that makes me a joyetech fanboy...yay!

Played with Cuboid and others at BNB today. Cuboid has nice shape, long and narrow. IStick TC 100 was plain looking, too wide, and felt less solid, sort of like the new Kanger mods. The IPV D3 and Vapor Flask Lite were sharp, but no TC for 316 SS. They did not have Innokin Cool Fire IV or Cortex in stock except for starter kit, or the new Sigelei 90w.

So, my question is whether SS316 TC Vape is a breakthrough, or a luxury I don't need? I was not a ni200 fan.

If you were not a Ni200 fan, you'll like SS wire. Much cleaner flavor IMHO, quicker ramp, can be used in either TC or power mode.

The Vapor Flask Lite has an update available now for SS316 TC & TCR. I have a Cuboid, D3 and VF Lite, and the Cuboid stays on the desk at work, and Lite goes out and about. The D3 hangs out as a backup and extra flavor tank. But I also only vape in the 1+ ohm range 90% of the time.

Highly recommend evic vtc mini if you're looking for a smaller mod!
Upgradeable firmware now allows you to go up to 75w and just added TC for stainless steel. (they already had nickel & titanium)
single 18650 and pass through charging, which allows you to vape while you charge it, but it used to last me all day.
Very cute and comfortable mod!

I'm loving the Minikin by Asmodus. In fact i haven't used any other device for the past two months. The downside is that I have no use for anything else in my collection.

Unfortunately, they only have black and red at my local shops, now if they have in any of the blue, especially the Tiffany Blue, I'll get it.
I guess people like black mods, not me, I like them bright.

Hard to tell from the Asmodus pics how bright the red is - that one is tempting me :) I don't care for back either!

You noticed the button pressure setting on the Balrog?
Nice hidden feature in the mod to get a hair trigger on it.

I have my eyes on the Presa 100w at the moment. I really like my eVic mini but I like using high wattage and the battery life isn't quite what I want it to be. I'm hoping the Presa is a good middle ground between the eVic and my iStick TC100.

Know this is an older thread, but my new dual battery Cuboid will do anything you need out and around.....matched it up to my Sigelei 70 w TC unit and the only difference is its a bit thicker, but width and height.....very pocketable (it is a tad bit heavier, more solid case and an extra battery worth) and powerful....and it does all the wires TC. But with my Crown Tank it will go thru the juice...ahhh but the flavor!

Haven't used that yet.
I know it's there but the fire button is already pretty sensitive as is..
