SMOK 85AL PCB

Hey ! I am quite new to vaping, been using Kangertech 75W Topbox for almost a year and today I received SMOK AL85 which I like so far. What concerns me is high PCB temperature after continuous 4-5 puffs. It has prebuilt coil v8 baby q2 0.4 ohm. I run it on 30-40 watts and it gets to 45C like really fast and atomizer gets very hot. Is it how its supposed to be, should I vape it less or what do you suggest ?

Thanks !

Here is what my mine is doing I have the same tank and coil, with the ramp up set to Hard at 45 watts mine does the same thing taking several hits, my tank is also very warm. If I leave the ramp up setting at N the PCB temp climbs slowly to 38. Also check your air flow mine is half way open. My Battery is an LG rated 35 amps. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help. I noticed vaping less logically helps :) Will also try putting ramp on soft. Was just afraid if I put wattage over 60 and temp get so high and warm it could damage my set or atomizer or battery. Hope that wont happen.

I don't have a Smok but the boards on my Joyetech mods get that hot after a few hits in a row. The mod should give a to hot message if it does get overheated and shut down. I'm using temp control so my wattage is pulled below 35 watts for most of the hit. Right now it's showing 100F/38C.

Just to let you know on the soft setting for me just did not give me a good enough hit, we are each so different so it might for you.
