SMOK g80 kit/ spirals tank too HOT

I just got the smok g80 kit that comes with spirals tank 5 days ago. I have used both the .6 coil and the .3 coil and I cant vape either higher then 18 watts or it gets way too hot and its already too warm at 18 watts. Its suppose to be able to go up to 45 watts with .3 coil and 35 with .6. And i had to turn down the setting to minimum for it to even be vapable with how hot it gets. Reading reviews no one else has this problem so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the VU!

The lower the ohms.. the hotter the vape will be. You could try changing out the drip tip to something with smaller diameter or longer to allow the vape to cool a bit before it hits your mouth.

Do you have a different tank you could try on the mod to make sure it's not the mod running hot?

Thank you!

I'm looking at drip tips right now to see if that will help. All my other devices are all in ones and my cleito got stolen so I dont have another tank to try right now. But if it is the mod what is the solution? Also the .6 coil which was pre installed i had to change after less then 3 days because it already was tasting burnt idk if that says anything also because other reviews ppl said the coils last weeks in the spirals tank.

If the mod is running hot... you'll need to return it to the shop you bought it from.

I got it online. Hopefully they will. If its burning through coils that fast do u think its most likely the mod?
It could be the mod... it could be bad coils... you won't know until you test a different tank on the mod.

I'm assuming you've double checked to make sure you're not in TC mode, right?

Yes Im in wattage mode. I even highered the initials ohms. I dont think the coils are bad since i tried 2 different ones.

On the screen in the settings it gives u the option to adjust the "initial ohms" is what its called. I didnt know what it meant but i figured since the lower the ohms the hotter the vape that i should make it higher.
You shouldn't mess with the ohms. Let it read and stay at what it says. No real good reason to mess with that at this point. Adjust your wattage.

Yeah, I agree with Ray... let the device regulate the ohms. The only thing you want to adjust is the temp if in TC or wattage when in wattage mode.

It was too hot before i even touched the ohms. I have it back at what it came with. And i have the wattage at 18 just for it to be vapable which sucks because it suppose to be good from 32 to 45.

Just remember those are usually off. I am not sayinging something may be wrong but if you dont vape "recommend wattage" its no problem. I never did when using the TV8.

I would be fine with it if i was satisfied with it but it's way too weak and still too warm. And npt to mention burning through coils in 2 days. Ill probably just have to return it. But thank u for your help!
