Hey everyone,

I have both an Aspire Atlantis and Kanger Subtank, I am looking to get the ni200 coils. Just wondering if anyone has had experience using the Temperature Control Setting on an Smok Xpro m80 plus with these coils?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I'll look around for you and see what I can find.
I just got in to temp control with a vaporflask clone.
I got it about 5 days ago and am still learning myself.
Building with ni200 is different than kanthal since it is non resistance wire.
I didn't know any better and got 26ga ni200.
I have 12 wraps on a single coil and it's coming in at .12 ohms.
I had to order 100ft of 30ga ni200 because I want to attempt a dual coil build.
It is a lot different than what we are used to but I am enjoying learning.

I have the Heartbeat with the Evolv DNA 40, and really have no thoughts of using the temp control unless I hear about some kind of magic it performs. So let me know 5150sick after you played around with it for a while on your thoughts.

The 30gauge is difficult to work with because it's so thin. Try twisting it. Or twist 32 gauge. I've done both. With a twisted 30 it took 11 ways to get to .7ohms. With the twisted 32 it took 10 wraps to get to .11ohms. Both are on 3mm rod.

Just to give u an example though the it took 10-11 wraps of the 30 gauge not twisted to get .11ohms. The twisted 32 is thicker and easier to work with than the standard 30gauge.

BTW the Dna will go below .1 ohms, you just can't get all features. It adjust because of the low ohms.

You can also twist the 30 gauge with a 28 or 30 gauge kanthal. It will take 1-2 less wraps than a standard 30ni200 and its much easier to work with because of the kanthal . Here's a video on how to do it

I was intrigued so I purchased a 5 pack of subtank ni200 occ heads.
I'll report back after the show up and I try one of my Subtanks on my Vaporflask Dna40 with the temp limitation option.

Thanks for all the input guys, I haven't made the jump to an RDA yet. So, I was looking for users specifically using either of these coils successfully in their M80 Plus.

I haven't tried the atlantis coil, but I did buy the kanger subtank mini and the coils and they work awesome. Head lasted me about 2 weeks of heavy vaping on 60/40 vg/pg juice (about 12 tanks). I changed mine out but when I did, it still produced a lot of vapor and flavor.

They give you consistent results every time. The only reason I choose not to use them is cost. They run about $4 a coil. Plus I'm keen to my Kayfun 4. If you like them, fastech sells the coils for $11 for a pack of 5

@5150sick I'm really interested to hear how these coils work out for you and the VF clone. Which VF clone did you end up with?

It seems to work really well.
Especially with high VG juice.
Instead of ruining your coil and having it have a burnt taste forever the mod throttles the wattage down instead.
