And im pretty sure i got sold a clone. The brass on my button is chipping. I checked my original cricket and im pretty sure its solid brass i even scratched it to see. Anyone else ever have this issue? Heres some pictures. Also i notices the brass is a slightly different color

Also i noticed some improvements the button on what i think is the clone has nurling and the see saw piece on the bottom has a much larger protection sticker on it. Btw the one that i think is a clone is the blue one. Im wondering if they updated it any maybe it isnt a clone, but why would they change it to brass plating?

Niether have I, basically what im asking is if anyone else who has bought a noisy cricket had the issue of chipping brass, or had nurling on the button. If none dlhave then that would proove its a clone.

if I remember right the knurling was added to the second run of them. For the brass, I've got no idea

I wanted 2 crickets. Also i had the origional silver and wanted the blue one. I switched the button contact so my blue one now has the solid brass instead of the one thats chipping. Im just trying to figure out if the guy who sold it to me is lying about the crickets he's selling. Thatbwaybi can warn people not to buy them from him

I haven't heard of any clones but it really wouldn't surprise me, like it was said above I think they did knurl the button on later generations plus fat daddy vapes made a upgrade kit for the 510 (put in a Pin in it wasn't strictly a hybrid) and made the button better and knurled plus a glass peak insulator inside. And changes to the bar as well. I'll take pics of mine in a bit to see if it helps

Second run has knurled button. One of mine switches did same thing when I fired it wet. it accumulated condensation by being outside overnight, when I fired it gold plating bubbled up and turned black. You can polish it out completely. Contact is solid brass. That's what I did, still works like it never happened.

Can't say whether it's a clone or not, but it would be the first I've heard of someone manufacturing them.

The button was knurled with the second run, as said before. Also, I've seen the contact button on an authentic do the same thing. I think it's caused by arcing when moisture is present, also mentioned above. It should polish right out. Let us know if how it goes.

Yea you guys were correct. I couldn't get it out with pollish but i did take the contact and rubbed it against a diamond honing knife sharpener and its definatly not plated and got the mark out. Thanks for the help.
