Well, after days of dwelling, and the inability to make a decision, I flipped a coin, said to hell with it and upgraded from my istick 50w to the ipv3! Already up to 80w and loving the change! I have wanted to do so for a bit but couldn't decide between this and the sig. Plus I plan to learn to build so guess what my next purchase is gonna be?!

Congrats!

Learn how to build coils and stick a Lemo 2 on top of that bad boy!

Thanks. Been hitting it a 80w all day and ready to jump that up now lol. Problem is the vapeston .5 coils don't seem to like it much above 80, tastes burnt too quick. I'm about to go get .3 atlantis coils and see how that tastes. So far I've tried my maganus, atlantis, and my buddies kanger and we are both in agreement that the maganus rips the best on this thing lol. Now time to research the building of coils a bit and see what I'm gonna do next!

Try some of these out for the temp control in your vapeston

I dunno lol. Still intimidated by the building part so sticking with tanks and pre-built coils for now.

Lol, no reason to be intimidated. ; but, in all honesty I dont know that I ever would have started if what is on the market now was on the market a year or so ago

Nothing to be intimidated about bud. Watch some vids and give it a go. You'll unleash the goodness of the Li by building and trying out different wire and configurations. My inner nerd rejoices trying all kinds of different builds.

Just stick with Ohm's law and you'll enjoy vaping even more.

One of the best things around...

My favorite Temp control tank with pre builts has to be the Smok TCT just rocks with tc.
Also you can use regular Kanthal A1 Smok Vct Pro coils in it. Use Vape Crawler to search for the best deals & prices on vaping gear.

Once you start messing with an RBA on tanks you will never buy a pre built again. 100 ft of wire can be bought for half of a 5 pack of coils and same with the cotton.

Totally agree with this...but sometimes the laziness sets in and popping in a fresh coil is oh so nice.

Haha just remember to set the resistance when switching to a different build. I had a subtank with a nickel coil then switched to a lemo 2 that I had a .10 build in. I forgot to set the resistance and took a nice long temp controlled hit...I nearly choked to death on the burnt vape.

Liao!!! We've all been there, eventually it hurts so bad that you never forget to double check before hitting that magic fire button.
Its called 'fire button control '

That kind of makes me wonder though on the dry coil protection. Previously, I guessed that it did some calculation to cut off power based on a high enough rate of change for resistance but if that were true, it should have kicked in regardless of whether the actual resistance was higher or lower than originally set. Anyone have a better idea of how the dry coil function works?
