I decided it was now or never just in case a certain bill decided to fuck us all in the ass so I splurged ordered the premium kit from diyflavorshack.
It comes with 6 flavors on the side which is great but I was planing on ordering from tfa or other brands since I've never once seen a recipe for diyflavorshack. I picked out the 3 that would be equivalent to what I saw on a simple recipe and 3 others I want to experiment with.
What I plan to do is just experiment with their flavors and basically use this thread as a log of sorts. I'll start with the exact recipe I saw which was all tfa and see if these are stronger or weaker ect. After that I'll experiment with the other 3 flavors and decide if I'll keep working from here or go with a more popular brand.
It should be here by Wednesday at the latest so I'm hoping you'll hear and update from me fairly soon.
Ps: I'm not really worried about the bill, like most people I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. Not trying to stir the shit pot or anything, just aware of it.
Edit 1: Kit came today and I realized I didn't order pineapple *facepalm* this is why you don't order at 4 in the morning. So I decided to get to work on strawberry watermelon. I got my calculations done during my first 15 minute break at work and made it on my lunch then tasted it at my last break... Was it good? Let's just say I wished my break was longer.
5% strawberry 2% watermelon and 1% ethyl malto. Got it to 80/20 vg/pg with 6mg nicotine. Total batch size was 10ml so I can use a bit for shake and vape and let the rest steep to see how it changes.
I know it's nothing great or complicated but I'm going to work on it. As of now I have 2 small test batches of straight watermelon and straight strawberry each with a small bit of ethyl malto steeping. I'm going to taste them each to see which is more dominant in this brand and tweak the final recipe accordingly. I'm assuming watermelon from the scent of it.
