Hi everyone, I've been lurking here and on some other DIY boards for a month now but I can't figure out some things:

The hardware that I use changes the percentage of flavors that I have to put in my recipes?
(I'm vaping with a Nautilus mini 1.8ohm at 9watts and a Melo 3 0.3ohm at 40watts.)
I figured out that when I use low percentages of a flavor(1-2%) my juice tastes just like my PG/VG(50/40)base with some thin notes that I can barely taste.
I only use FA flavors, I have Mango, coconut, Vienna Cream, anice, Peppermint, Spearmint and lime.

I use syringes already so I mix by volume.

I know the science behind how flavors interact is some way mysterious but I'm trying to figure out stuffs, like I'm trying to make a Mango+Coconut recipe. I tried to mix them at low % (3 Mango/2Coconut) and it didn't taste like anything with a slight remembrance of Mango. Then I tried to raise the %a bit to 6% Mango and 4% Coconut and I could only taste Mango. I'm willing to try some other brands for Coconut or maybe just give up on this flavor combination.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong :(
I looked for guides and tips for weeks but couldn't figure this out.

FA is just fine, but you only have a few flavors and the ones you do don't mix well with each other (besides maybe coconut and vienna cream).
I would add a few flavors, especially ones that can act as a base.

The atty used does effect the strength of the flavor and so does the build, wattage used and PG/VG ratio.

Thanks for the answer! I would appreciate some suggestions on what to buy next, I prefer fruity and fresh flavors. Something that reminds a fresh drink.

Often, looking at it a different way is better. First find a recipe you believe you will enjoy and then buy the flavors necessary to make that recipe.

Think of things that will mix well together IRL and go from there, like pineapple with coconut, peach with mango, chocolate with mint, anise I just hate so can't help you there.
Apple mixes well with almost every fruit.
A bit of lime brings out the sweetness when added to fruits.
Vanilla and custard mixes well with fruits and deserts.

Thanks for the tips guys! I'll buy some new flavors and try to follow one of the recipes on here. They look "tasty"!

Bring that Mango wayyyyy down. Try it at 1%, max 2. But it's really strong, and some even prefer it at 0.5% I LOVE the coconut, though.

I just mixed up a mix I enjoy myself. It mix be one you'll like using all FA flavours.

2% Watermelon
1% Strawberry
.5% Fresh Cream

I enjoy this one alot and the flavours meld well together.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Another one I did last night to help with congestion, and it has helped a bit.

1% Vienna Cream
.5% NF Spearmint

NF is Nature's Flavors, but FA makes Spearmint too and the Vienna Cream helps to mellow it a bit. Enjoyable yet helps a bit this time of year. Hope that gives you a bit of help.

You end up having to make two different recipes, one for each setup.
Think you need more flavors...
CAP Sweet Mango, or INW Mango
Some of the other brands of Coconuts seem stronger too IMO.

I'm betting this is the one that has better flavor.
I seem to get better flavor with 1.8's myself so that's what I've stayed with.
Forgot to mention every Coconut has it's own character, and some are sweeter.
Even mixing several together might help, trial and error basically.
0.5% FA Lime + ?? Coconut might be interesting too.

BTW Welcome to VU...
