And I now realise why the DNA200 is so expensive/highly regarded.

It has a very, very in depth application, with absolutely everything user adjustable you could imagine.

It's going to take a good few hours to get the hang of this properly, but I like you can download CSV files straight from steam engine for all types of wire, adding them to the DNA 200 so it can handle almost any wire that can be vaped (TC wires, even more obscure types).

It hypes me up even more. I was told 24 to 48 hours until shipping, that was about 16 hours ago, so it could even ship tommorow.

Then the wait arrives.

Does anyone own a DNA 200 and have any tips for Escribe? I did the whole tuturial course, and willl definitely be lowering the initial hit from 200W to around 60-80W for TC, and selecting ramp up time.

I think it will be hours of fun, being a geek and that lol.

It will probably be another week for mine. Can't wait. I was going to have to get escape and start looking around.

I suspect that on TC starting at 60-80 watts will bring you to temp (400-600 F) in about a second regardless of settings in e-scribe.

Yeah it probably would, its just the original setting is 200W For 0.5S lol, I want to tinker with this and turn it into exactly what I want, and make it work how I want, which you can do :).

I never realised escribe was so in depth. I was happy with getting the mod as cheap a I did, finding the software for it put it up another level making me realise just WHY its so expensive!

While we're waiting, can someone get Conan a napkin for that foam on his chin? :)
Haha good idea lol :).

But, I'm pissed off now.

I payed in the early hours of saturday, and received a message saying " we are delightly glad to inform you your item is in stock, and will be shipped in 24 to 48 hours" in the morning at around 7AM, I ordered at 12:30 PM.

Today, I get a message saying its not going to be in stock for around a week.

I checked fast tech, and their dispatch time is AT LEAST 12 days, so I think gearbest will be faster.

I am hoping it is 7 days maximum, and they are not lying again.

They said If I did not want to wait I could get a gearbest refund, or a paypal one. They said the gearbest one is the best, but I would obviously not be buying it from there If they continue to lie, but I am hoping its either an error, and mine IS being shipped today, or at worst I have to wait 7 days until dispatch.

The Gearbest option seems the best so far, as I have seen that nearly EVERYBODY gets a battery that is severely dicharged from Fast-tech, and you have to use Escribes battery saver to bring it back to life as the cells were often under ONE volt in each LI-PO cell, and the Escribe software luckily saved it for everybody and they work fine.

I do have a 3S lipo here that is at 11.1 V and a balanced charger, so even if the battey was DOA I have an 850MAH here that works fine, from my RC hobby days. I wish I kept more, as I had larger 3 cells than that, but I kept one chopper and one battery, A trex 250 clone, that runs on that type of battery, so I already know lipo safety, and already own a balanced charger :) if the one that comes with it is dissapointing.

Thats WHEN I get the actual thing. I think getting it this month is now out of the window, I payed extra for insurance and fast delivery options as well. Proper takes the mick that does.

I doubt it matters what vendor you order from in regards to the batteries being over discharged as it seems there are no China mod manufacturers updating the firmware and there were problems in early firmware that caused a battery drain.

Post from Evolv on one of the firmware updates.
On the firmware side, we fixed a few bugs that would have made the device consume power while sleeping if the setting file was corrupt

They have an early adopters forum that has a lot of custom screens you can download. I've already customized my VT200. When running my Billow V2 in TC with dual Ni200 coils (depending on ga .059-.075 ohms). I set the preheat to 50 watts, power to 25 watts, and temperature to 420-450 degrees. Messing around with it, I'm finding a preheat about 2 times the wattage I'm using for 1 second is working out good for me.

Cheers,
Steve

I really like it. As a matter of fact I like it so much I bought a second one. Excellent vapor production and taste with no leaking. The deck isn't the biggest, but they are by far and away my favorite RTA's.

Edit I'm using one on a DNA200 (Hcigar VT200) as I'm typing this. It's really a great vape :)

Cheers,
Steve

Just as a heads up, you can get it in full size or nano. They also sell the Nano kit you can use with the full size (best of both worlds imo). Last I checked Eciggity had the kits for about $7. I'm going to order one if I ever get around to it lol.
