I've been reading about rebuildable cartimizors and stuff. Does a beginner go from sealed cartimizors/clearmizors to a rebuildable kit? Or on to something else like the boxes? What's the next step in vaping for a beginner? Thanks.

It's all a matter of what works for you... but going from the ego/evod... I would certainly recommend you start with a basic tank before you delve into rebuilding or sub-ohm'n.

i think it depends on your self confidence (and budget) for where you start and progress to the next steps.

ie,, i lasted 1 day on an aspire stick thing,,, then i went to a kangertech nebox,, that lasted about 2 months while i did a lot of reading..watched a million videos,,,,bought a kangertech topbox,, i like it,

but i want a bigger deck to coil/rebuild,,bought a few rda's,, messed with them a bit,, didn't care for dripping but do like small tanks (i dont mind the 'often refilling')

i have several decades of diy of non vape things ,, so i am quite comfortable learning other things and enjoying the learning process. so,, right now i am waiting for a SXK Corolla,, it looks like a happy medium for me,, larger deck to coil with tails in the juice ,,,,,,the design actually 'makes sense' and i think you will see more 'rdta's like it. i chose it over the moonshot because it allows for dif drip tips,, and doesnt have the spinning deck thing (for which i dont understand the purpose). i wouldn't mind a larger version too. ......

anyway,, i wanted any color but red (because it looks too much like orange to me,, and i am not an 'orange fan'...............so i am having to wait for a raft from china to bring it because i couldnt find one here in the states other than orange) lol

my point,, just watch videos of everything to get an idea,, and decide where your comfort level is.. and be happy where ever you land :)

I'll ask the Admin team about this. I was wondering how you posted as a guest. That's the first time I've seen that for an active account.

Use a different email address..... the one you used was setting off alarms all over the place and causing problems.
I have to use the TrojanTwo email thats what is linked to my Facebook, it unlinked some how. "TrojanTwo is my gamer tag for PC, Xbox and PS4" not a Trojan hack bug. My email is (removed personal info) if you can see it on your end.

@TygerTyger I guess I can just use my strawberrys18 account and forget about the other account if it's messing things up to bad. No big deal.

So a basic tank will let me replace the parts In a clearmizor/Cartimizor, like coil and stuff? I'd be ok doing basic stuff like that for now. A basic tank can also be used on a variable volt battery too, right? I am starting to understand the basics I guess. There's a lot to this vaping hobby.

Good starter MOD and tank is an iStick TC40w and a Nautilus Mini. Can upgrade your tank to Temperature Control when you are ready. Even go with a higher wattage iStick for more future upgrades.

Take a look at an Aspire Nautilus for MTL, or a Triton for direct lung.
This, but then you'll also need a new powersource. Now you get into a few more questions. If you go with the Triton and Direct Lung route you're going to need a bit more power, something in the 50-75w range at least to start. MTL you're not going to need even 50w. There are dozens of options for every piece of the puzzle. But, there is 2 big categories here. 18650 replaceable battery, or built in battery. 18650 in the long run is typically cheaper, the built in options you eventually will have your battery go bad and end up tossing the whole thing, with the replaceable option you just replace the battery. The replaceable battery you can have a second battery charging to just swap them for charging (a good external charger is recommended even if the mod can charge on it's own, not required but recommended, and then you can charge a second battery to keep a rotation).

Some suggestions to look at but not even close to a full list:

Built in Battery: Mini Volt(40w), Nugget(50w), Aspire CF VV+ (4.8v), iStick 50w(50w...)
Replaceable: Pico (75w), Evic Mini (60w), and really too many to even start listing but those two are great single battery options.

Anyways, lots to handle and think about, but I tried to keep it as simple as possible. If the replaceable battery thing is concerning you go with the built in batteries. If not replaceable has a lot of nice perks. Just always keep in mind you're dealing with some powerful batteries, so take note of charging recommendations and battery safety (and if you get the 18650's buy quality, something like Samsung 25rs or LG HG2s from a good source like illumn or liionwholesale.com).

EDIT (Figured I'd add a final comment. For the OP here I'd probably suggest the Mini Volt, not too expensive and it's a wonderful little device. As a personal favorite, the Pico is great, but then you have to deal with the 18650, which if you're up for, it's a mod that will go further if you do get into wanting more power).

It is a lot of information to process but it does need to be done to move on to the next step.

Hell with small steps huh Jerus? jump right in no sticking a toe in to test the temperature! :xD:

:blah: Sink or swim, sink or swim :teehee:

Really though, I'd rather cover more than is necessary than not enough. Don't want him to end up with a 60lbs drawer full of old no longer in use vape stuff like I have :gaah:, all of it used at one point but many of them about a month or so until I found something better and picked it up. Wish I knew what I know now back when I started, would have at least taken a good 10lbs off that drawer

If you are just movin up for carts and stuff I would recommend pickin up a Nautilus mini. It will work on your ego batteries if thats what you still have. It is a great flavor tank. If you are wanting to move up to direct lung inhaling then I would recommend something like a Crown, Atlantis, or Herakles v2 with a mod like an Istick Pico or Coolfire 4. So many options for mods out there but for tanks those are the ones I highly recommend.

I think I'm gonna step up to this after I use the Joyetech AIO a bit.
