Quick build just to show you what I think would be the optimal coil placement. (wrap one coil clockwise, the other counterclockwise)

This one checks in at .75ohms, dual 28g wrap. Resistance may be on the higher end for most, but I think for flavor, its a pretty good sweet spot, at least on a mechanical device. With regulated, obviously you can push this as high as you like. Will leave it on as a sample, but can take it off if preferred.
