Ive been getting into Mech mods recently and just got my first tube mod, a Nemesis clone. Im loving that little thing, have my velocity mini with a quad coil build reading at .11ohms. Reallly realllllllly loving that thing lol. Buttons a bit crunchy at times tho, and it gets hot. But anyways lol

This is what im looking for help with, Im also looking for a Mech Mod Box, dual 18650 preferably. I saw these two on fasttech today:
https://www.fasttech.com/product/3045700
https://www.fasttech.com/products/3027/10014174/2587900
And I love the look of the both of them. Im wondering which one to go with lol If anyone has experence with either one that would be nice :)

Also if anyone knows how to fix the hot button on my Nemesis that would be nice also. Also how to turn it black, right now its silver and clashes with everything I have :p :)

.11 ohm build on a single 18650 mech. mod? you are pulling 38.18 amps off of that battery. The only way you are going to "fix the hot button" is stop using such a low ohm build and running WAY past any safe limits on any battery out there.

If you haven't learned ohm's law I recommend you go to Steam Engine and start. With the build you are using it is just a matter of time before you have a VERY bad experience with that setup.

Yeah man, .15 is the limit for my VTCs and .2 for my LGs and Samsungs in a tube.

That button has gotta be getting hot as fuck. Nemesis are bad about that anyway for some reason. At least mine, even at .25 Ive had hot buttons on them.

Ummm idk where you got 38 amps from. Im barley getting over 30 amps. Also they have a Pulse up to about 60 amps for 30 secs with zero issues. I very rarely do even a 3 sec pull. Also swapping out the spring for magnets and cleaning it fixed all issues i was having with the mod.

Do the magnets make the throw better? Ive been thinking about ordering them and a kepler top cap on my next fast tech order.

You have to change the battery voltage to 4.2, 3.7 is the cut off on a mech basically.

The magnets make the throw so much better. And luckily made it much less crunchy.

Im getting 33.64Amps at 3.7 volts. which falls within that 30sec 60amp pulse limit so i think im safe :) Also knowing that its Stainless Steel the voltage drop is probably even lower the 3.7 volts tbh. If i had a voltmeter then id check it but i dont lol

so i think im safe

Good luck. I'm sure others thought they where safe also. But hey if you want to play Russian roulette go for it. It's just nature's way of thinning the herd.

Head up ass.
No you are not safe, if you are stupid enough to argue the mythical safety cushion pulse is, I hope you enjoy your new false teeth and hook you will be sporting.

Where do these mythical pulse figures come from? Last I researched this, Sony considered a 'pulse' a fraction of a second...

As far as I heard, the Pulse rating is 1/500 of a second, but who really knows, each manufacturer probably has there own Pulse time length, seeing as how there's no industry standard set in place

I have this exact mod and lovin it. Had it for over 8 months, and you can keep that .11 build you like so much with it since it's a parallel box. Get rid of that quad build on that nemesis. Only Chinese clone battery sellers tout that pulse limit. With parallel mods out there, there's no reason to roll dice with that type of build on a single battery mod. You can get good performance with .24+ builds just find the right type of build by experimenting with different gauges and twisting or claptoning.. Experiment. But get that copper Abbadon I listed above and use that .11 build on it. You'll be glad you did.

Yah the whole thing isnt any issue any more at all either. Ive retired the nemisis and that build. Got my self on of those in black, noisy cricket and a Dimitri box on the way. So ehh. Plus thats the lowest that i ever did build and it was too hot so yah. Dont know why they were getting so but hurt over it lol

Also my favorite build right now is a clapton (24g kanth with 36g nichrome) and that reads at .3 and omg so good lol

I almost bought that Dimitri. Still thinking about it as a second parallel box. My atty's seem to be procreating. I think I need to buy them some condoms or something, I need more mods. I just worry I'll loose those little battery doors.

You WILL fall in love with that cricket. The way it blows through juice made me think it would be an occasional hitter. Yeah right. My first thought was just use it at break time and after dinner. Shit, I'm hitting that thing about 75% of the time now and I don't even want to think about my juice consumption. Hell I don't need to eat. Just buy more juice. And 26 miles isn't all THAT far to walk to work is it? Especially in the winter.

Clapton is the way to go on the cricket. Here's my 30 over 26 at .51 ohms on my doge. Lovin' it.
