IP and email banning is also a whack a mole, ISP's and network range from actively maintained global blacklists is much, much more effective. That and also heuristics which I'm not sure this forum software has it.

We have never been able to find someone in a time zone other than the east coast (or central which is only one hour difference) to stay active enough to help us out.
WE had a guy from London back in the day be he could no longer stay active and told us he was leaving. londonbro (or something close) was his screen name.
He pretty much vanished after that.

for all those asking about a global spam black list from my knowledge the one VU uses is a global list. but all it takes to beat that is a new ip and email address that you use to open an account and come back later to. then you use your bot to mass post and mass create and its all over again.
when i was invited to join staff i did suggest stopforumspam and the boss man @VaporJoe said the system they use did the same thing.

Vaughn TV sucked ass mostly due to the fact the the lead programmer (Mark Vaughn) couldn't program his way out of a wet paper bag!
So the site got bugs glitches and random viruses galore!

So yea I totally get it.
That would be a huge pain in the ass to someone that is logged in at 8:30 - 9am to have to get through.
I never understood WHY posting links to skincare products, bodybuilding supplements, and boner pills that are going to be there for a maximum of 4 hours before someone deletes it could be at all helpful to these people (spammers)?
If they were smart they would make an account and ask a stupid question about vaping or start an introduction post then come back a few days later and edit it to the spam.
I hope they don't ever think of that.
I think they do so just because they can, and possibly if enough people see their spam links inevitably someone will end up clicking on it.
Even the occasional click here and there, multiplied by the thousands posts per day on who knows how many forums, may net them something I'm afraid.
