Mad Max: Fury Road is one hell of a ride, but it’s unlikely it’ll be the last cinemagoers see of the lonesome road warrior. While Fury Road didn’t exactly smash records, it did collect a tidy $374 million at the global box office. That’s none too shabby for the continuation of a series whose last film hit cinemas 30 years ago. Writer/director George Miller has already confirmed that there were two sequels born out of the long-gestating Fury Road, so it’s not like the Mad Max creator has run out of ideas for the franchise. On top of that, Tom Hardy has stated that he’s signed on for not two but three more sequels.
