I almost always just burn and rewick everything in my main rotation on weekends, whether it needs it or not, especially the RTAs I use at work
I think I put about 200+ mls of juice through these wicks prior to replacement this afternoon.....

The rayon is still as white as the day I stuffed it in the coil, but the coils had about 1/8th inch of gunk on um....

That wall separates juice well from airflow path. You don't want to cut them away!!
Train, I need to get my magnifying glass out....I can't see how this is actually designed. I figured they had something to do with airflow, but I can't see the base well enough.

Anyone using the NoLegal?
Have a clone in FTech cart, but questions -

nolegal.JPG

1 - is that on the left just a whole alternative top cap?
And if so, that means what, NO bottom airflow at all, just in through the side? And I take it that's just air in, above the deck edge - no inner hole or anything? And are there two holes like that? And why don't I see ANY pictures of people using that cap?

2 - those holes and shit at the top - that's just "decorative"? Frankly, I find this atty fugly 'cause of that mess, it's why I haven't ordered one before.

Probably will try it - but I like the look of the simpler cap if it's got enough air...

Now second-guessing. Found a different angle
upload_2017-2-26_13-28-40.png
And I think it's called a "cloud cap". So maybe the cap I like DOES have bottom airflow, just a simpler way to adjust it - (how many holes, but no choice on SIZE of holes). I think I can deal with that. ALso looks like maybe your upper airhole gets forced into a position based on where you want the bottom slot...I can maybe live with that too...

I still have 5 years worth of Sally Salon Coil Cotton to use up before trying anything else.
Can't waste my $4. Got around 2 years out of it so far.

If you haven't tried rayon, you really should. And for $4 you could get a veritable lifetime supply...

Doh! So Sallys cotton is rayon? Well then nevermind...lol

Sally's "cellucotton" is rayon. they sell regular cotton as well. When you buy the rayon box (Graham's is the brand), you have to check the box and make sure it says 100% rayon...the also sell a rayon blend of the same brand, boxes look the same.

Right, remember that now. Seems like it came down to getting the right manufacturers number on the box. You want "43" not "42", or "44", something like that. I'm past what is referred to as middle life now, so it's not likely that I'll need another box, but good to know. :)

The more I stare at the Firefly, I think it may work better as an RDA, than a squonk atty.

Except if you dripped from the top, I could see the juice missing the wells and straight down the air hole.
Honestly I think squonking would be the only way NOT to flood this thing. I think I'd be more pissed if I bought it as a dripper and not a squonker.
I need to grab a piece of peek or something to see if I can make something to shallow the wells, bore the squonk hole lower and maybe fit something for the airflow.
I'm not giving up on it just yet. Love the look of it, I just need to make it "mine".

California... kinda near Wack-ramento, up north...
I probably have a Velocity clone I'd swap...I never really loved them and think there's 2 in my "try again someday" box...

Much appreciate the offer, I have one of those too, in pretty much the same kind of box. Drop me your address and I'll mail you the atty. The box is getting pretty full!:vino:

What, are you afraid to squonk in public? o_O

Not at all - I just enjoy squonking best with a mech and I don't have time to be mindful when I'm actually on the job. I need to be able to just stuff it in my pocket or whatever as I vape at work all day.

I usually take four tanks and two squonkers, for when it's slow or I'm driving in or back home

They should thank us for vaping in public, after all, it's like portable aroma therapy!:vino:

I make it a point to vape in public - especially if I know I'm going to pass by a smoke break area. And it will usually be a squonker

What do you mean, "mindful"? I run mech squonkers full time. When I'm up north and spending the day in the office, I'll take two; a primary and a backup. Since I own the business, you can be sure that I do vape there.

I also own my own business and vape inside - but busy, don't have time to sit at my desk a lot of the time. And don't have to justify my choice to anyone either.

No, you certainly don't. I was just curious.

If it makes you feel any better, I did secretly squonk in the emergency room last week, but kept it secret for obvious reasons, lol

Modder
Ok @AlbyKortoona We are on the home stretch. I decided to make 2 Series Squonk mods to give you a little bit of a choice and to give you a 2nd choice I will let you decide what color switch you want on it. I also decided to show how the mods transform when I put them in the oil bath. One of pics is labeled A and B so please let me know which of these you want and switch color. And I will get it wired up and tested. Then sent out to you. Or if you do not like either one I will attempt to make another. For everyone else once he makes his decision. I will open up the other for someone else. If there is any other interest of course. (Just FYI I can wire these either series or parallel)

These first pics are right after sanding.

Then while taking the first mineral oil bath. This is where it's labeled A or B

Now before first wax coat.

So what do you think do either meet with your approval?
